You know the type - you see those landing pages with tons of graphics and fancy looking pictures and layouts all trying to convince buyers to buy.

However, do you think that a simple black and white text page outperforms those fancy sites?

Obviously you need to test - but what is your experience and what have you found performs better?

    Pretty pages can be far better than a colour explosion but you need to find out what your customers prefer. A certain colour in a certain setting may be perfect like neon green for skateboarding, but but it in an ivy league school website and it will look terrible.

    Everything has to be matched to what your clients expect, not what you want.
