Hi guys,

I came across a blog that had a very nice list of Twitter tools - more than two hundred in fact. The webmaster started it in 2007 and had only just recently updated it (on 28 Oct).

Just thought that you guys might find some of the tools there useful for being a better Tweet

Web Tips: Twitter Tools

      That's great Asher

I found that site a couple of days ago but didn't think to post it here - good plan.

You need to be careful though, you could end up pimping your Twitter experience within an inch of its life. You won't need 200 tools. Best to figure out which ones will specifically make Twittering more efficient, effective and maybe a little more fun.

Does anyone know if there's a decent review site of all these tools?

You don't need 200 tools for anything??
        Especially Twitter.

It sucks that nothing for twitter works on 10.3.9.

    Twitter is cool though.

Twitter if fun, but limited. I find it's a lot of personal stuff too, some people use it for business, others use it for spam. I'm still on the fence about twitter.

Thanks Asher, I'm enjoy myself using twitter since it really simple to let others know about what I'm doing now. Moreover, my site visitors increase when i broadcast using twitter.

Though I have had a twitter account for two years now I just started tweeting...

I am beginning to realize that the best tool would be a shocker that zapped twitter users with a few volts every time they started to tweet about mundane daily life activities.

Huh? What's wrong with tweeting about
mundane daily life activities? That's the
point of Twitter - to find out those mundane
daily life activities that we don't know
about so we get to know the person more,
      isn't it?

Or am I off tangent somewhere?

Josh, you may appreciate this cartoon http://xkcd.com/481/ (youtube has actually put this in place as I'm sure you've noticed).

Mike, how did I miss the tweety bot release? Guess I'm not keeping up on reading tweets . While I was waiting, I started using Digsby and I really like the way it keeps everything organized and easily accessible. The alerts you've built into yours is what I'm looking forward to trying out. (I still need to search this forum to find out why it matters who follows me.)

Josh - that's exactly how I thought when I first started using Twitter, but something strange happened along the way...I was sucked into the vortex of communicating about the mundane things throughout the day. Along with some valuable business posts, sometimes it's good to see a bunch of 'mundane' discussions and pick up one that interests you.

It seems that a major bit of functionality (search under find people) has been out of action for at least several days and no one here has even mentioned that fact, am I missing the point here? Does no one miss this feature and wonder how they could allow it to be out for so long?

    >> would be a shocker that zapped twitter users with a few volts every time they started to tweet about mundane daily life activities.

Here's hoping the plugin doesn't get developed anytime soon. Although, the random jolts might shock me back into action (seeing as I've tweeted some really random thoughts at times)... so maybe it's a productivity tool I need.
