Promoting ClickBank Products Using Google Adwords

Hey guys...

I have a question with regard to promoting ClickBank product using Google Adwords, and would really appreciate if you could help me out on this one:

Recently, I have been trying to promote ClickBank products using Google Adwords. I have created individual landing pages to promote each and every product that I am promoting.

The landing page consists of a full review of the product that I am intending to promote, and at the bottom of the page, I have links to "Privacy Policy", "Disclosure Policy", "Terms Of Use", "Disclaimer", as well as a "Contact Me" page.

Initially, when the campaign was created, the Quality Score of my landing page for each individual keyword that I target are either 7 out of 10 or 10 out of 10 - And with that, my ads are able to be listed in the 1st position with just $0.10.

Clickthrough Rates are also good - I get a CTR of between 5% and 15%.

However, the strange thing is that, after about 7 - 10 days after the campaign is running, the Quality Score of my landing pages dropped to about 4 or 5 and I was asked to increase my bid to $0.40 (even for keywords without a single advertiser!) I am surprised, because why I was told to increase my CPC when I am having a CTR of between 5% and 15%?

Initially, I thought it was just a problem with that particular product that I'm promoting - So I tried promoting other products. In fact, I even bought another domain name and tried doing everything all over and the EXACT SAME scenario happened...

Is it that my campaigns have all been Google "slapped"? But the funny thing is that, when I'm using the exact same technique to promote physical products, as well as CPA offers, everything is running smoothly with no hiccups whatsoever - Even after a few months...

Is it that Google is not shunning advertisers who put up ads to promote ClickBank products?

Was wondering if are there any ClickBank affiliate marketers here who are using Google Adwords (and a landing page) to promote the various ClickBank products encountering the same problem that I am facing?

Is there any thing that I have done wrongly? Or anything that I can do to go about solving this particular problem?

Appreciate your help... Thanks!

Cheers
Jun Yuan

Do you use search network or content network?

I had the same problem once.

First of all, you can check whether the landing page where you are sending traffic is the same,

If the landing page is the same, then the problem is with the fact that Google knows that you are affiliate and it doesn't want to allow affiliates to make money from Google's search network. So, there is no point to spend time and optimize a campaign for direct linking affiliate offer.

In the old days, you could just build a review site and drive traffic there. However, today, Google will shut down your account if you will continue to drive traffic to affiliate website by using Google Search Network.

Solution here - switch to Google Display Network, and you will be fine.

I hope it helps a bit,

      Hey Guys

Thanks for your comments, but 24 hours after my ClickBank campaigns were caught with the problem (that I've described in my previous post), ALL my other campaigns were caught with the EXACT SAME problem as well!

It's getting harder and harder to please the big G... So I decided to save myself more headaches in future and shifted all my campaigns to other PPC networks, which do not have so much rulings and they cost less per click as well...

Thanks so much for your help once again... Really appreciate it!

      Cheers

By the way, what is a Google Display Network? Is it the content network?

What facts do you put forward to support your claims?

@ the op can you provide or pm a link to your sites / it is normal for any site to bounce, if your products meet G terms i would say look at site structure, ad structure , keywords used , ads written

  • I don't care what gurus might say, but promoting Clickbank products via Adwords has not been profitable for a long time and for 99% of clickbank products. It's a dead end. Adwords is just too expensive, Google is too fast to slap, and the standard clickbank product's commission too low to overcome traffic costs.

Throughout these while that I have been promoting ClickBank products using Google Adwords, the cost that I'm paying is still pretty much at an affordable rate... And I managed to get quite good profits from it...

But the thing is this, I needed to create a landing page for every single product that I promoted (as I do not want to "fight" with other advertisers who have been directly linking to the merchant's salesletters) and the entire process is quite tedious...

And also, the thing is that it seems to me that Google is changing its algorithms far too quickly and it's getting harder and harder to get in their "good boots"...

just seen another post by the op / created a new land page site / if thats what your promoting on adwords, ? then stop and delete your campaign, those support pages go to the main site. the whole structure is wrong and the best you will di is get suspended or banned given time.

also there is not enough supporting material at all on that site, an accident waiting to happen if it is that on G your running.

If not that site then maybe post a link to the site causing problems.
