Those With Split Testing Experience - please help

INTERNET MARKETING

Does anyone know of a split testing script or software that works with .html pages? I would rather not test on 2 different .html pages so as to avoid duplicate content on the same site, so I'm looking for a split tester that uses a code or something on one sales page only.

Hi Gary,

fellow warrior Paul Hancox offers a neat little software called Power Split Tester. It's reasonably cheap, and you can split test parts of a html page.

I'm using the software myself -- Paul's instructions are very clear, the software is easy to use, does exactly what it's supposed to do, and his customer service is outstanding.

Gary,

On the variation pages you can place the meta tag <meta name="robots" content="NOINDEX, FOLLOW" > to help prevent the search engines from indexing your page.

You can also use the Canonical tag which is explained better here Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Specify your canonical

  My multi-variate testing tool Easy Multi Tracking doesn't require using different HTML pages for testing. You would only need to insert testing tags on your sales page where the elements you want to test are located.
