How much do you make on your lists?

I was curious as to how much people actually make on their lists. We always hear, "The money is in the list". So, now I'm curious. Please answer the questions so we all can get an idea. The Warrior Forum is a community where we all help each other and I think this is a good thing to know for many people struggling to make money with their lists.

1) How many subscribers are on the list?

2) On average what is the "open" rate of your emails?

3) What is the frequency of how many offers compared to good Free info? (Ex. 3 Free / 1 offer, meaning you send 3 free emails then an offer)

4) On average how many people buy your offers? (Ex. 2%)

Thank you for your participation!!

I wanted to be the first, but Profit Sniper beat me too it, so I'll answer the questions to get the ball rolling.

    1) 2,168 I just checked Aweber

    2) On average about 25-30% open the emails, granted I am very new to building a list and have done stores in the past, not list building, so this is very new to me. Plus, my emails contain discounts so that may help a lot with the opens too!

    3) Well, I send daily deals, so this doesn't really apply to me at the moment.

    4) I actually haven't done an "offer" to buy something yet. I have done discounts on products of my store, but not trying to get them to buy off the email or send them to a sales page. I get 3-6% of the people on my list to use the discounts I send them though.

    Ok, now its your tun.

I highly doubt many of the warriors here would share those extreme details. But if you ask me, the money is definitely in the list. The questions that you asked are very specific and direct, which means the answers would differ from person to person. I would say just go ahead with your own list building plans and see what your own numbers say. And then if you're comfortable, come and share them here and see what the others have to say. Just my two cents

I agree with you. I guess it would be hard for a big list owner to further discuss the exact details here, I.E. the number of subscribers he/she has, and the amount of money that he/she earns per subscriber.

@OP: Just take some action to build your list, and you won't regret building one in the future once you have thousands of responsive and quality list in the future. I suggest to apply the 80/20 rule of email marketing, meaning, 80% would be free but valuable content, then 20% sales pitch, so you make an offer 1 out of 5 emails that you send, but don't blatantly make an offer, just try to recommend something or apply the "soft sell" method.

Being the affiliate manager of Brad Callen, I have to say, that the money is in the list... BUT you have to be genuine, give good information and not spam people to death with nothing but aff promos. He and his brother Matt are masters at list building and watching them take care of their lists is nothing short of amazing. And so is their rewards ;-) Their biggest and best advice to me was to... focus and TAKE ACTION!!
