URLs: Short vs. Memorable vs. Clickable What do you think?

Hi All,

In the ongoing discussion of what's best a short .com or a memorable .com I'd like to add another.

How about a clickable .com?

I'd like to present the thought that short is gone, memorable is mostly taken and clickable is the new short/memorable.

The reason I say this is the goal of most IMers is to get the click through and the book mark.

Face it not many people actually remember the URL no matter how short or "memorable" it is.

What we need is a URL that just screams CLICK ME!!!

I think common variations of popular dictionary "authority" words are the next big URL rush. The variations could include numbers, substituting 0 for o, 1 for i and L etc.

just as an example. Business.com = Buslness.com or BUSlNESS.com substituting the i with a small L. Yes, Buslness.com is taken but thousands of others are not taken.

Again, this is solely for the click not for the memory.

What do you think?
