    Hi JV Joe,

There are a couple of ways you can start with to select your niche market, but these are the 2 that I normally go with:

    1) What are you passionate about? or what are you pretty good at?

    2) What problems have you had and solved successfully before?

Let's start with the first one:

What are you passionate about? What are you good at?

For this approach, you need to do some soul-searching and really understand yourself better. What is it that makes you tick and go ga-ga over? For example, I am pretty good at time and project management, which is a little niche on its own and there are actually people who want to learn how to better manage their time and projects.

So let's say I decide to research this niche, there are 2 questions to answer:

    1) Are there many affiliate products on this topic? eBooks, videos, audios, physical books etc? If there are, that's a good sign that people in this niche are buying stuff

    2) Are there affiliates in this niche using PPC? If there are, its a good sign that this niche is profitable, otherwise why the heck would affiliates pay for traffic

So the next thing would be to build a list, a blog and eventually your own product perhaps.

Now, the second approach is what problems have u encountered but solved successfully?

Usign myself as an example, but please don't laugh, I encountered a male health problem before (think enlargement), and after a series of trials and errors with the different products, I managed to solve it i.e. getting bigger.

Again, find the answers to the 2 questions above and if the answers are positive, repeat the steps of building your list, blog and even ur own product at the end.

These are just the rough steps. but they are the key to making money online. Pick a wrong niche and you'll not go far.

Hope this helps, and all the best to you mate!

    Regards
    Mister Bryan

    Welcome JVJOE

Mister Bryan has provided some great advice about your niche choice. Too often people over think this stage. Let's face it, practically every possible niche you could think of is profitable somewhere on the Internet. It's like you were 17 again trying to choose your career.

Focus on your passion, and the money will follow.

I can't think of any other way to really approach this. We work to live, not live to work (well most of us) and I absolutely want to do something I'm passionate about.

You know you're passionate about Internet Marketing, what else? Nutrition, Extreme Sports, Basket Weaving?

Internet Marketing is such a wonderful business that we get to create what we love to spend our time on

    Hi Joe,

    welcome to the forum.

ClickBank is a very good place to look for products and niches too.

Look for the highest gravity (at the buttom of the product Grav.) and you'll find the most popular themes.

    Good luck.

    Hey jvjoe

Don't worry about getting things done perfect. This is something I did wrong in the start: I wasted too much time thinking I had to learn lots more before I could start.

    I wish you success!

    Holla Guys,

Looking on for your niche segment through web places like Amazon & ClickBank is really interesting.

Moreover, Niches can also be identified via Social Networking media like Tweeting, Facebook commercializing, & other classified services.

Have you thought of whenever we put ads to CL to several countries, we can get to know that specific keywords target only segmented profiles of the service providers & replies are obvious.

Welcome!! There are some really great people here with some awesome advice, so enjoy your time here!

You need to start by figuring out what you're passionate about. What topics can you handle, day in and day out, promoting, writing about, selling, seeing over and over - without getting disinterested or burned out? Don't pick something you don't really care about because you think it will "sell well". Your visitors/customers will be able to tell if you're genuinely interested in what you're doing.

HEYY!!! Welcome. There is a lot of great free info here. Niche marketing is one type of IM, involves blogging, articles, social marketing, website(s).

      2 basic steps:
Create a product/sign up for an affiliate program
Create a site, blog, write articles and drive traffic to your site to get sales

Now each of those steps involve learning. And this site is full of those methods.

Example: lets say you like p90x the work out program. Or you had success with it. You could: write articles/blogs/a website about it. Either sign up with p90x as an affiliate or amazon.

Your goal is to use Search Engine Optimization and other tools to get your page on the first page of google so people click on your site.

      good luck

oh yes ps: this will not be work if you love your niche: dogs, fitness, parenting, dating advice and so on. do something you love and make it viral

I can attest to this. I did just that with P90X except for the Amazon part. Their networking business pays $30 for every P90X sale. It has been working out pretty good.

I have taken a little different approach from the above mentioned "follow your passion" talk. Though I believe it is all great information!

My goal in any venture I pursue is "passive income". I want to live my life the way I want to. Visit places when I want and for however long I want. I love travel so I suppose I could start a blog, write articles,...etc. about it BUT, I would rather have someone else do a quality job for me who specialize in that niche or have a superior writing ability.

For me the point is creating a business/team with "Masters" of individual trades rather than trying to become a "Jack" of many trades myself. When you get a team or teams of Masters you will be hard pressed to fail.

This is yet another reason why WF is a great place to be involved many different opinions. Make a plan, Set goals, and Make them become reality!

    Make it a great day!
