It took me around 2 months of hard work, as soon as you unlock the door. The sales will come flying in, if you find a formula that works keep at it. Do not change to another formula. This is a big mistake newbies make.

      This is true!

It's unfortunate that it took you 2 months, it took me 4 days. But yeah, it's like riding a bike or learning to juggle, one day it will "click" and all make sense, from then on its all about Testing and Improving.

I think it was around 3 months for me. It was only $6 , if I am not wrong. But it was fantastic, just realising you can make money out of something which you enjoy.

When I first started, over 7 years ago, it took me 5 months to make my
      first $28.

I was a very slow learner.

Just goes to show you, if there was hope for me, there is hope for anybody.

Just keep at it, learn as much as you can, and work on developing your
communication skills. I feel they are the most important of all.

For me it took 4 months because I was a very slow learner back then when I got started in 2002.

Even if you never made one sale online and you are already 6 months trying to make it, don't give up. You will because as time goes by, you will start to figure things out with the help of a mentor or even by yourself.

    Less than an hour.

    Stumbled onto the original GoogleCash
book late one night, decided to give it
    a shot the next morning.

So I opened an Adwords account the next
day before work, and set up a couple of
    ads.

When I checked it a half hour later from
work, I'd already made my first sale.

Unfortunately it proved to be a complete
fluke, and the second one was nowhere
    near as easy =)

Great way to motivate me early on though.

It was article marketing ... it was my first niche (investing/forex) and the 3rd product I'd tried to promote. And it took a few months because I got hooked on reading forums ....

The biggest reason for the slow start was that I wasn't targetting buying keywords. That only dawned on me when I realised that the articles getting the sales were the ones that targetted words like 'best' or the product name.

Incidentally - the second product I marketed started making some sales nearly 2 years later. I think this was in part due to the fact that the offer for the product had been changed with a $5 trial and then full amount payable two weeks later.

Worth noting the importance of not just the buying keywords - but the strenght of the offer.

WSO: I PROMISE/GUARANTEE you that this will be the LAST WSO you will ever need to purchase!

Here's the thing. The above may seem too good to be true but all I can say is there isn't even 1% hype or BS in the above sentence. This WILL BE YOUR LAST WSO to purchase.

About 5 minutes, found some people willing to buy some items in an online game from me, and I turned it into a business (for awhile until the game shut me down)

I just started to promote a Click Bank product and sent out numerous articles on the software pointing back to a review on my blog. Was showing nice hits to it but I just started to promote it HEAVY 2 weeks ago and when I checked my stats at CB i got almost sick :p 18 HOPS and 1 to the order page and thats it!

Now I see why people give up. This is not my main biz but I am looking to drum up other money. Thinking now of just promoting the hell again out of my main biz and forget the CB issue.

For CB promoters what is "average" time for your first sale. Again with this product I only done Article Marketing, and the post on my blog with a static page as well.

I think it took me a few month because I was a total noob and didn't know what I was doing.

Now that i'm know what doing it is much simpler

I've worked long and hard at this and my hard work finally paid off. It's been a rocky road but I think I finally made it. I am pleased with my results and look forward to what is next.

It took me about 8 to 12 months but I honestly didn't know what the heck I was doing. I agree with Steven...after doing this now for a few years and making full time money online, I think honing your communication and grammar skills and learning how to write is MOST important. You write sales pages, emails, articles, reports, etc. and ALL of these will/can make and/or break your business.

You really only have the ability to write to get people to respond so just keep at it and duplicate what works. Give yourself a few months to get results though. I had a campaign going that wasn't doing anything for a few months but by the 3rd month, it was tripling my cost SO...stick around for the harvest after planting the seeds

    Good luck,
