Apostrophe's in Article Titles & Google

Hi everyone,

Im new to WF & IM so i apologise if this is a stupid question !!!

Does anybody know the following:

If i have a keyword phrase eg "nuclear submarine's" with an apostrophe with say a google search count of 1000.

But if i put the keyword phrase "nuclear submarines" without the apostrophe then the search count is say 30,000.

Two questions:
1) If i wanted to submit an article to say Ezine would i be ok with the article title "Nuclear Submarines" even though there should be an apostrophe ? I obviously want to target the 30K search volume.

2) Will google penalize using "nuclear submarines" ??

I have several keyword phrases which have great search volumes and low competition when im not using the apostrophe.

Any ideas people ?

Thanks

' nuclear submarine's ' is wrong, as is ' apostrophe's '. Both are correct without the apostrophes.

Maybe that's why the search numbers are higher without the apostrophes.

I read your thread title that Apostrophe's in article titles and Google and
wondered who he was. Thought maybe he was someone important.

Search numbers could be higher in the version without the apostrophe
because people don't bother to use them when searching. At least that's
the way it seems to me.
