How do you create lots of articles with a limited number of keywords?

I have about 30 buyer keywords to work with. I am using those keywords to write posts for my blogs.

I want to write way more than 30 articles(not spun articles) for the directories. Should I just get keywords from Goolge KW Tool and use those?

I want to rank for my blog posts keywords but I don't care if I do or not for the article directory articles.

One thing I don't want to do is to try and keep using the same keywords over and over because eventually I'll get tired of using them and run out of things to write about.

also, I don't want to out source because I want to work on becoming a better writer.

I hope I am making sense

You can increase your keyword list from 30 to 50.

Why stop at 50? you can go to100,
Just make sure that they are related to your niche, and not too far away from the main topic.

Some people have keyword lists of 500 when doing research.

      Matt,

Sure, I know I can do that but my problem is the other keywords I could use, I stand no chance of ranking for them and many are not buyer keywords that's why I only have 30. It was hard finding buyer keywords that I could rank for.

So I wonder if it would be worth it to use such keywords?

      That's my problem.

      Thanks for your reply Matt

Work with 3-4 KW's a time. When you get fed up. Get another pack of those.

Ranking is most important. Write as much as you need TO RANK. Not as much as you want. It's more of a business, stick with it.

So what you're saying is, keep using the same 3-4 keywords over and over but creating new content?

Get creative with them. Not knowing your keywords, it's harder to give you advice that will be useful but perhaps this will help:

      Keyword: "red widget reviews"

How to Find Objective Red Widget Reviews
What Factors Matter in Red Widget Reviews?
      Are Red Widget Reviews Helpful?
Why Should I Read Red Widget Reviews?
Things You Never Want to See in Red Widget Reviews
Pros and Cons of Red Widget Reviews
Advantages of Reading Red Widget Reviews
Disadvantages of Reading Red Widget Reviews

You just have to come at each keyword from different angles.

    Johnny,

Do like Tina said, come up with different angles for the same keyword or keywords.
You might do the top three reasons why <keyword> is the best. Then rewrite the top three reasons into how they can help the customer if they buy them.

    Good luck,

The Google keyword tool will provide you with a list of what is called LSI keywords. These are keywords which Google feels are relevant to the main keyword you type into the keyword tool. Scroll down to find them on the old interface as "Additional Keywords to consider"

LSI is latent semantic indexing and to put it simply, it is all about relevance.

Cat is not relevant to dog but puppy or German Shepard, or... you get the idea. Instead of just stuffing dog into your articles a hundred times you write out relevant content on a slightly different topic like puppies and try to still sprinkle in the word dog at the beginning middle and end of the article but have puppy be more predominant throughout.

Once you have your LSI keywords which relate to your main keyword choices the next step is to use your brain. The more relevant your content is to your main keyword, the better you will rank for that keyword.

      Make sense?

Johnny, since you don't care if you rank for your directory articles, here's an idea for you...

Take one step back in the buying process and look for those keywords.

By the time someone gets to a "buying keyword", they've already gone through a research process. Here's an example:

    > Something is not quite right - maybe they have an ache or maybe there's just something missing.

    > Something's missing. They're bored, but what should they do?

    > They need a hobby - something new to engage their mind and occupy their spare time.

    > What kind of hobby? They know they like the water and the outdoors - maybe something like that?

    > Okay, they also like to eat fish, so how about fishing? (You had to know I was going there, right? :p) What to fish for and where?

    > After watching some fishing shows and reading some outdoor magazines, they decide on Bass Fishing. Now they need some equipment. This is the step where you start providing articles to the directories. You start doing article about different fishing methods and the tackle required for the method. You do general articles about how to select equipment - rods, reels, line, lures, etc.

    > They're ready to buy. Now they know they want a Shimano bait-casting reel with a Star rod and PowerPro line, and you're there to meet them with your buyer keywords.

Since you already have the buyer keywords picked out, just reverse the process. Whenever you feel like you've exhausted the possibilities, take one step further back in the process. Not only will you never run out of ideas, you'll both develop and exhibit some genuine authority.

      John,

      thanks a lot.

You nailed down my thoughts exactly. I knew there was a way to use the keywords but I was not sure if it was a good idea.

I figured, even If I don't rank for the articles in the directory, I can still get targeted traffic from them, and every visitor counts. With so many different keyword combination's, it's still possible for the articles to be found in the SERP's for keywords I'd never thought of.

I can write lots of articles now.

The information based articles can certainly get them in the buying mood, that's for sure.

      Thanks a million John.
