How can I tell if I have been sandboxed? I have a website that is a PR 10 in Google and Yahoo and Bing for my niche of over 3 million competitors. It has been steadily climbing up the PR rating for a month now. Sunday It made it to the number 7 spot on page one, then Monday and the rest of the week it has totally disappeared into hyper-space? What is gong on???

    Hello Timr,

What site is it, a blog, landing page, squeeze page?
Have you been adding content to it.
I doubt you have been sandboxed. You have to remember the net is changing all the time, Google loves fresh content.

It could also just be the Google Dance if you have done more extensive backlinking lately, and it will eventually come back up after a few days or even weeks.

You got your terminology a little mixed. You have said PR when you meant position 10 in the search engines. Search engine position is where you appear in the search results. PR is page rank (also known as toolbar page rank) and is shown as a 0 to 10 scale.

Thanks guys for the info. I am a newbie, I don't know all the right terms on everything yet. I want to thank the gentleman who gave the sandbox checker tool thread...thanks...As an added info I did start using a backlink builder service called backlink ninja, and I had a press release go out thursday, but the site went misssing on Monday a few days before any of the links were even made. And I did post a new page Sunday night also. Being on page one on all big three search engines has really helped my ego. I just need to make some money...Tim

    PR10?!!!

You're in good company - like FaceBook, CNN, the White House and Google itself:

Google PageRank Update August 2010 PR10 List PR=10 top 10 site -Last and Next history schedule
Google PageRank 10 Sites April 2010-PageRank 10 Websites Updates History List

After you get your rankings back you should release a WSO to show us all how to get that kind of ranking!
