What email capture service do all the big boys use?

Frank Kern, Ryan Diess, Jeff Walker..

This is an aweber form - productlaunchformula dot com (it takes you to a landing page)

I can't seem to find the template within their site..

Anyone have any ideas on how to replicate this?

Many thanks!

Just curious. Did you sign up and the confirmation came from Aweber?

Most of those folks are using a software called "infusionsoft." It handles everything including email lists, and costs a couple thousand dollars plus several hundred dollars a month.

Many of them use Infusionsoft to build the list initially and
then they use iContact to send out the broadcasts.

        Others use AWeber throughout.

It depends upon the person and their objectives.

Personally, I use Infusionsoft because it allows very fine
list segmentation based upon subscriber behavior - e.g
what links they click on and where they go on my site.

So people get a follow-up based upon what they're proven
        to be interested in.

Infusionsoft dropped the set-up fee last year so now it
costs from $199/month for the autoresponder service or
from $299/month for the full package with autoresponder,
shopping cart and affiliate tracking, etc.

iContact, getresponse and aweber. iContact dominates 10 to 1 for the big dogs.
No one who is serious about email marketing uses infusionsoft, they just can't hit the inbox.

So Perry Marshall, Jay Abraham, Rich Schefren, John Carlton,
Dan Kennedy, Clayton Makepeace who ALL use Infusionsoft
            are not serious e-mail marketers?

            Yeah - right.

Are you basing your assumption on having used Infusionsoft
yourself so you know if it works or not?

I said the Big Dogs. With the exception of Dan Kennedy, who is incentivized to use Infusionsoft, those are not big dogs.

And yes I've worked with Infusionsoft. I manage over 60 mailing lists all for people who make over 2k minimum a day off their lists. Not a single one of them uses Infusionsoft. Some of them used to but for deliverability reasons they have all moved away.

I've been on the phone with Clate, hung out at Infusionsofts AZ office with their team and will still tell you that they are a great platform for IM CRM and horrible for email.

                Thanks for the further detail.

What type of deliverability issues have you observed with
                Infusionsoft?

Does iContact allow the fine list segmentation based upon
subscriber behavior? How does their deliverability compare?

                Thanks for any additional feedback.

                  Shaun,
Not a problem, No iContact is not nearly as nimble as infusionsofts action sequences. You can get away with coding up sequences via APi and get the same result but its going to cost some loot.

As far as Infusionsoft delivery I really didn't see much "deliverin". most of it hit the spambox even on their dedicated service. The other big complaint was their unsubscribe box that asked if you wanted to report the message as spam.

The best solution I've seen implemented is custom code linking the 2 api's between infusionsoft and iContact that made one nasty inbox hitting solution. Were talking 96% delivery with the ability to grade leads and buyer behavior. The guy paid nearly 10k for the solution though.

If I had the time to really build a software project this year this would be it. A canned infusionsoft -> iContact connector. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Now if your talking infusionsoft for CRM and affiliate management they are the bomb in this area. the only thing that might outclass them currently is Salesforce with a idev connector. I only say that because Salesforce is the 10,000# gorilla in CRM and customization.
I don't know of many marketers who use Salesforce due to the costs / management overhead. Marketers tend to like pushbutton simplicity and low overhead.

I wanted to use infusionsoft, but they couldnt get me a competitive price on my list size and they were too nosey about what all i was doing to grow my list so big - like what niches I was in and stuff - I told them not gambling and not porn and that should satisfy them enough to get me quote, but the sales guy always kept hinting at wanting to know what i was doing - left a bad taste in my mouth like he was a moonlighting marketer getting his ideas from his customers... So I passed. Part of the reason a bunch of the "big guys" use Icontact is that they have (or they used to have) a flat fee top end deal that you could just pay $1000 a month... So, when you've got a big list and its gonna cost you $7000 a month for Aweber and $3000 a month for infusionsoft - then you start looking elsewhere. I am using 1SC as they have the best pricing I've seen, but have been thinking about a managed solution from a guy here on WF...

Listrak and Analyticapproach are 2 other email solutions that are good for big mailers. Listrak is enterprise level. It actually is alot like a icontact -> infusionsoft hybrid but it is priced out of most peoples budgets.

Thank you all so much for the tips and advice. this is really good stuff.

So the consensus seems to be that infusionsoft is perhaps the best for crm and icontact is the best for broadcasts.

I have played with most of them to deliver mail, however I am just starting with affiliates.

@Shaun - How might one use aweber to manage affiliates?

    Many thanks to every one!

You wouldn't. You can mail them via aweber but as far as an affiliate management platform you need something like infusion, 1sc, iDev, or any other of the hundreds out there.

We have used Infusion along with a bunch of our JV partners and everyone (including us) has had to import the leads collected from infusion into iContact because Infusion's deliverability is so horrendous.

I also had a list in Aweber, exported the leads and imported to iContact and averaged an extra 900-1200 opens per broadcast. Just something to think about.

iContact is more expensive, but well worth it with the increased opens and clicks we get for each mailing

We are being strongly encouraged by our new marketing guy to use infusionsoft...so I have been doing due diligence.... seems like infusionsoft has a good number of unhappy customers over the years.... and maybe it's improved now.... but even with expensive setup, it still seems pricey compared to other solutions. One I came across was PremiumWebCart.com ...they have a comparison chart with infusionsoft and appear to win really big. Has anyone had experience pos or neg about this apparently new player in the autoresponder/marketing/cart software?
