Image Copywrites?

Can someone confirm or clear up something for me.

I am in the process of putting together an e-book product, and am almost done, I just need the graphics and images to finish it off.

I know I can use royalty free images from some online stock phone sites, (if, of course, they are listed as no-royalty) but what about images I find through search's like Google Image Search? Or Flickr? Is there an expectation of privacy on those sites too?

I have been using the free photo's from sites like IStockPhoto.com and Stockxchng, and a couple of others. there is just such a limited supply sometimes.

That's all. thanks.

  • You cannot use photos that you do not have permission to use. A photo is no different than your ebook. Would you want somebody including the contents of your ebook in theirs?
  • Yeah man you can't use anything where you don't own the copyright. You may want to consider purchasing a collection of images that you can use in your ebook.
  • I used to do sales pages back in the day and purchase all the images - in most cases they cost $1 to $5; of course, there are images that are way more expensive as well, but for most purposes you'll juts pay a few bucks and be in the clear.
  • You can find stock photos without all the worries at
    Image-Reseller >> Home
They even have private label rights so you don't even
    have to include credit information
