What is a safe number of friends to add per day?

    There should be no limits to adding real friends, but adding people that are not really friends could have its limitations.

      How are you adding these friends?
      I personally only use Facebook for personal reasons, not for IM'ing - but from what others are claiming, they are adding 40 / day and getting banned.

    There is a limit of 5000 friends on accounts in total. Do not even bother trying to add 5000 in less than 3-4 months.
