Best "Way" To Create An Affiliate Program

Hey Warriors,

I've got a product that I am considering offering an affiliate program for.

If you were me, how would you go about doing that?

I know that the easy way out is Clickbank, but is it really the best?

Are options like 1shoppingcart better?

I'm offering a software piece + book + members area.

I know I'm being kind of vague, but any initial thoughts?

Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

I too would basically say Clickbank...

$50 fee, but many, many, affiliates!

There are also many scripts that you
can use to get this done!

Clickbank's power lies within it's army of visitors and affiliates. You're not just setting up an affiliate program, you're getting exposure.

I would say Clickbank myself, Blue is correct, you are getting a lot of exposure with clickbank, you have to take exposure/traffic into consideration when looking for a home for your products

Thanks Jamie, BlueSquares, AskJesusLeon, jtjackson, and Chris!

I agree that without promotion you probably won't get any affiliate support.

And I like the idea of making multiple avenues available. (Clickbank, Paydotcom, etc.)

Any ideas of how to create affiliate support? (Is contacting affiliates personally the best way?)

Also, for multiple affiliate programs would I need to make separate sales pages for each?

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it!

      Happy Halloween!

That mythical Clickbank "army" will be AWOL until you do some serious promotion and make some sales. Just listing your product there isn't enough.

I think what Chris Lockwood said is a very true and pertinent point.

This is why for my two main Authority sites I'm building I've decided to go the non-Clickbank Route.

I prefer freedom over my promotion and Clickbank is too restrictive - i.e - no Physical Products etc.

Clickbank is a good choice. 1ShoppingCart gets quite pricey when your list gets large.

If you want an all in one service that includes affiliate management, sales pages, auto responders, resale rights library and ad tracking, I created a service InternetOneSystem that would fit the bill. The link is in my signature here.
