Hey guys,

I was wondering how I can get affiliates and launch my product so it sells. Any ideas? Thanks!

Do you already have the product ready to launch? In my opinion that would be step #1.

As for getting affiliates, maybe start with making a post in the warrior "JV" section...

    Just my 2 cents!

You need to prove that your product sells first, before
approaching affiliates - especially top affiliates.

If your product doesn't sell now (as you've claimed in
another thread of yours) - then affiliates won't help it to
    sell.

    That's your job.

Get your sales system in place and working first.

Then consider approaching affiliates once you know
    it sells.

Otherwise, you may end-up burning relationships with
affiliates if they promote a product that doesn't sell.

You don't want to have a pre-mature affiliate promotion.

    Dedicated to your success,

My product is complete. I like the tip regarding getting it to convert. How can I sell it myself? I'm not sure why people don't buy.

    Hey,

When working on releasing a product..in order to maximize your profits you need to focus on building relationships. Join a mastermind group..talk to people...get people that you know can do you well reading the product. After that...if they see it as value..as them to be an affiliate once you release. Offer a high commission..like 70-75%..this way they really feel like it is worth it.

One thing you can do is launch a WSO before your actual release. This will not only get you credibility and sales..but it will get the word out about your product...once you go to clickbank people will already know your product exists and that will allow you to skip the people finding it part of things.

The main thing with product creation is to network..you gotta know people..you gotta talk to people. Networking and branding is honestly the key to being successful in that field (and most others).

The WSO thing is if its a make money online product. If it is in a different niche then obviously that doesnt apply haha

Some people were mentioning that a relationship product could work as well but I'm not 100% sure. We'll see.

A couple of suggestions, some based upon the other posts you have made regarding your book:

1 - Your site, your sales page and the free sample are all hosted on free hosting. You can get your first months worth of Hostgator hosting for a dollar, and a domain name for about 10 dollars. You could place everything you have now on the Hostgator account. On your free hosting there are links to other products (placed there by the host) , and that will be a real turn off to serious affiliates.

2 - The sales page is where you need to concentrate your efforts. You have a hot and popular topic and it's in a super-competitive niche. Lots of good copywriters here on the forum to give suggestions in that department.

3 - You might consider setting up an AdWords account and targeting traffic here, however in your niche that may be expensive. Yo can find a 75 dollar (or 100 dollar) AdWords coupon if you look around. I'm suggesting this so you can "fine tune" the page, make sure you also use Google Analytics in tandem with AdWords so you can see what works and what doesn't.

4 - Consider making a short video for the sales page - this is debatable, but in your niche it may work well.

5 - You should highlight the testimonials, place them in their own boxes so they stand out.

From your free workbook (thanks for that BTW) I can see that you can write and know your topic. Make the leap to your own domain and hosting, some improvements on the page and test the copywriting and you should be making sales and attracting affiliates.

    Best of luck

I'll definitely have to look into paid hosting. Someone here must've reported my blog because after I linked to it it was shut down. I'll definitely want to search for some copywriters to help me with the sales page. And you are very welcome for the workbook!

I agree with Shaun - you need to be able to sell the product yourself before you get affiliates. To attract good affiliates you need to sell to the affiliate the idea of spending their time, money and resources on promoting your product instead of the 100's of others out there. Sales data, $ per hop, conversion ratios etc. will interest them.

Once you start making sales carefully consider if you really want affiliates at all. Your affiliates can become your competitors in a sense - competing with you in SEO and PPC campaigns and often trying to intercept buying traffic so you have to pay them for sales you would have got anyway. Be careful!

Quick question... Is your product any good? If you have thrown something together real fast just to make a few bucks - you wont do anything... You have to really provide value - that is the case more and more... So, before you go after affiliates - you need to make sales yourself and verify that people indeed like your product.

Okay, it's tough love time. Please take this in the spirit in which it is intended.

I have been reading your posts. It is obvious that you have no marketing
      knowledge whatsoever.

      In other words...totally clueless.

I made my suggestions in my other thread about what to do. Add to that
      list how to attract affiliates.

You need an education...PERIOD. Without it, your chances for success are
      slim to none at best.

Coming here and asking odds and ends questions isn't going to cut it.

For one thing, you're going to get so many different answers, you're going
to end up more confused and frustrated than you are now.

      Get an education.

Again, take this in the spirit in which it is intended.

Nice one Steven - this is what needed to be said. Straight to the point.

Why didn't I think of saying that (boy scratches head!)

It's hard to give tough love sometimes. Some people freak out when it really is intended to help.

HOLD IT! HOLD IT! HOLD IT!

Ok, so I am glad that someone has offered the tough love you need as far as IM. ...and now I am about to offer the same with your niche and your expertise.

The "More Love Workbook" you offer as an example of your writing and content you offer...is not worth anything. Which is why you are offering it for FREE, I know. But it leaves me with an impression just like any other potential customer that your other stuff is the same.

Alot of warriors on here merely look at the marketing side of things and I know this by reading their posts praising without ever reading or researching the person's site in question.

By reading your pages on the above workbook I will point out a few things:
            • Essentially the entire workbook is you telling me to ask MYSELF some questions and then answer them myself.
            • Later you congratulate me on coming up with some great ideas and tell me to take action on them.
            • Nowhere in your workbook have you offered ANY ideas of your own. Not a single tid-bit of information from you to me to help me.
            • The people you are targeting don't have the answers. That is why they are searching for them.
            • Your technique is 'a la' therapist, ask questions so the person can discover themselves. This is great, but not for your target audience.
Now... How you can make it better or hopefully you are already doing the following in your PAID stuff:
            • Your audience wants to be told what to do. You can do this and still offer questions they can ask themselves to tweak it.
            • Give examples of scenarios and what could be done to solve the issue. Some will identify with having that same problem.
            • Start spitting out generic relationship advice even if YOU think everyone should know it. There are alot of 'dumb' people out there that can't understand why they can't maintain or get in a relationship. It just they don't know, but they want to learn. TEACH them!
I know this is going to be a totally 'out there' example, but when it comes to people just not knowing stuff... I once volunteered with a group dealing with abusers. Some of the men in this group literally had to be told and learn that calling their wife/girlfriend a bleep or bleep or fat bleep... wasn't a good thing. They just didn't know.

So if you pose questions to people like that about what they think they should do... they would come up with all kinds of WRONG answers.

Learn how to truly HELP those who don't know and you will capture 100% of your target audience... because obviously they don't know...they are searching on Google for advice.

            My $0.02...

You should focus on creating a dating guide that gives away more information. Then you can sell that on clickbank and promote it to get traffic. Take the time to continue learning about romance and dating. The more knowledge you have, the better product you create. I would also recommend getting a website designer that makes your site appealing when you do launch.

The best website designer for nice clickbank product layouts is extremewebgraphix.com. A lot of the main internet marketers use this company because the designs are great. I haven't used them yet, but I plan on using them in the future. You could probably develop a nice looking site to sell your romance guide.

The easiest way to get free traffic is by posting on niche forums, article marketing, and blog commenting. You should also focus on offline traffic generation because this is the easiest way to build a product brand. A lot of people worry about traffic generation online, but they never consider offline traffic generation. It is easier in the long run to gain popularity online if you focus on getting traffic from offline sources.

The way that the main marketers get a product launch to work well is through email. However, you would need connections with people that are in the relationship business that have an email list. Give them your product for free and tell them that you want them to review it and possibly send out an email launch for it. If it's a clickbank product and it's valuable for an email list, they will probably send it out since they can get affiliate commissions off the sales.
