What to do with 5 PR3 Domains?

I have 5 domains that are PR3 and I'm not really doing anything with them. I have an urge to go after a few more .co domains, so I was thinking of selling these 5 domains to fund my little speculation.

Should I sell the domains outright or should I throw some content up and sell them as websites?

Opinions please.

Sell them as websites on Flippa.com

You will get a much better return on investment this way.

Market, are you serious or kidding? I will sell all 5 for $125. I think $25.00 each is more than fair. Like I said, I am only trying to get some extra cash to buy 4 .co domains before they get regged. PM if interested.

Just out of interest Keadams, have you had much luck selling any of your existing .co's?

Interested to see how the speculators had been doing. I have a couple but probably going to develop them first.

If they are already PR3s then I would pay to get some unique content for them, wait till that content was indexed, then sell them on flippa. Need to be quick though, if you just leave them as they are then by next pr update they could have dropped their page rank. Opportunity lost etc...

Laurence I haven't even tried selling the .cos yet. Am more interested in developing these for a while, see how they rank, and make my moves accordingly. Thanks for the advice Coco. That's good advice. However, these domains I have were dropped previously, lost their PR at the next update but regained the PR on the strength of the backlinks in the next update.

Nevermind that I have been a member here for 3 years, because I have less than 50 posts, I am unable to respond to PMs.

Yeah, well, I think I am selling it all without developing further. I have developed 21 autoblogs and have 55 additional domains parked. I am going to sell it all without further development. I need a break from IM for a while. I will come back when I feel refreshed. To see the list, please check my signature link.

Mind you, instead of selling them, you could just keep them and then when you make a new site you can just link all 5 sites to the new site.

      Voila, 5 instant PR3 Links.

Imagine if you had 100 PR3 Domains.

I'm not sure about the statistics, but pointing them all to one website would instantly boost it's PR and Rankings MASSIVELY.

I frequently see the comment "domain has PR" - but how does that happen? That is PAGE rank so how would an undeveloped domain acquire ranking?

Parked domains, when enough quality backlinks are gained, get PR quite a bit. Usually it's in the PR2-PR3 range, rarely will a parked domain get much higher than that but I have seen a PR6 parked domain.

Do I understand correctly that you were able to get these domains, which do not have any content, to a PR of 3 through backlinks alone? That is very impressive (to me)!

Did you inherit these backlinks with the domain based on their previous content or did you build them yourself? If you built them yourself, it sounds like you must have used a particular tool or service. Which one?

No, I inherited the backlinks. I did some research on expiring domains. These domains were PR3, expired, I regged them and they lost their pagerank. However, the previous backlinks were still active and indexed by google and, lo-and behold, the next PR update, they regained their rankings. For instance, one of the domains has more than 13,000 YBL. One of which is a sitewide link on a PR6 website.

wow, very cool. Great for you that it was allowed to expire, and nobody else picked it up before you grabbed it.

Does the PR get dropped if the domain goes un-registered? I don't understand the process by which it lost the PR and then picked it up again.

I don't know if you already use this, but aged-domain-finder dot com is a good site for looking for expiring (and for auction) domains with high PR .

Thanks for the domain finder site info. Good to know. The short answer about the domains losing PR when they expire is yes they do lose them. However, as in the case with my domains, the backlinks were still active when I regged the domains, therefore, they counted as much for me as they did for the previous owner. That's why the domains regained PR.
