Any "Internet Marketing Consultants" out there?

Hullo Warriors!

I've just been pondering recently about the idea of internet marketing consultancy. I understand there's plenty of people out there who serve businesses of all kinds in terms of taking their business online and reaching new customers and markets. As I'm slowly working towards being a general marketing consultant, and working hard at IM as always, I'm very interested in marketing an offline business online...

Simply put, I want a piece of the action.

For those that do this kind of work; what are the main things you've needed to know, or the main things that have given your customers results?

Also how would you advise someone fairly savvy (but not expert-like) in many areas of IM to spend their time in order to have the skills to confidently ask for money from clients?

Any feedback would be just lovely!

    You need good people skills to start with.

    I have been a consultant for a long time now, you also need to set a good price. Not too cheap or it will look like you are trying to make a quick dollar. I charge $75 an hour or $50 to warriors.

    You need to know your stuff, there is so many IM tactics, I wont go into what you need to know.

    You will need to get yourself some good testimonials - they are well worth the effort even if you have to do some free work to get them.
