Amazon affiliate - ecommerce store - advice needed

Hey guys,

After opinions here.

Im going to be ranked pretty high soon for a fairly low-medium ticket electronic phrase with prices from say around $100-$700

Now I have a site and originally was going to list all the products via pictures and 'click here for more info' type buttons, then re-direct these links straight to Amazon, so I have captured the customer.... However I am thinking if I do that, my conversion rate will be shocking.. Plus the 24 hr cookie doesnt help.

What I am now thinking is giving each product their own 'more info' page on my site and listing content straight from Amazon and then including a 'buy now' button... Cos correct me if I am wrong, however no-one is going to click on that 'buy now' button unless they are 100% interested in buying??

For example, if I am looking at USB pen drives, I may go to Amazon and look at the product, then go to Ebay and everything, however I aint going to press that 'buy' button until I am certain I want to buy and have finished looking around etc.

Am I right to do things like this??

I am not doing anything like this but from the advice I have learnt should I want to do this the advice is give each product its own website. Treat as mini-site with keywords keywords in domain and title and in the body of the text its own order button etc.

You should have a compelling reason to make the the visitor to your page by there and then and have no reasong to go looking at other sites.

Also have a mother site which features all the products and reciprocal links between minisites and mother site.

As the products you are selling are reasonably high priced ticket items, it would be worth considering setting up a minisite for each product.
