creating an offline classified

Hi Warriors,

I have asked this before and never got a clear answer, so I shall ask again


What program is used to create them classified ad sections that we see in those money making (offline) magazines that are sold in newsstands?

P.S- I have tried MS Word and still doesn't work. Also, adobe Illustrator has been mentioned before.

    Oops, I initially answered you, until I saw you meant offline.

    Since you are talking about offline, I assume it's something you want to print and would either cut and paste or type them in yourself. Have you used the columns function on Word? I'd suggest you talk to someone involved in putting out a small local paper with classifieds and ask how they do it to set it up. My guess though, is that they have special programs set up for them.

      I think that Adobe Illustrator or some type of WYSIWYG environment would be best for creating those types of ads. Best of luck!

    indeed, its column based and I am toying with MS word. Hope I can figure this out or I may just call a local newspaper and see if they will help me on this...

      For sure , contact the publication you are considering... no doubt they will be able to help you submit an AD.
