I quit my job and then realised I needed to make money.

So it probably took me about a year to start making anywhere near the money I made before.

I'm working on quitting the day job - I'm about halfway financially independent so far - I can see the light! I'll let you know if and when I succeed

It took me 1-2 years. The day your internet marketing income is more than your day job is the day you can quit.

I think a lot of people can quit earlier, but they make sure that the income they are making is really permanent. So a lot of people wait until they make like 2-3x their current job or until they have a considerable amount of money in the bank.

      Personally, it's smart.

I think years is also a poor amount. Mukul took 4 years but how many hours did he invest per day? A lot of people who make it big in a short time also spend 12 hours a day at it. When you have that much time, you can just eat, live and breathe Internet Marketing and you become really damn good at it.

Thats a good question. To be accurate, it took me 4 years working my job and having my online business before I quit the job (I would have done it at 3 years, however got complacent til I had a accident).

        Cheers,
        Mukul

On average, how many hours a day did you work on your Online Business/Internet Marketing?

I quit the job first. That gave me no "Plan B" so I had no choice but to get out and make money.

I'm still working the 9 to 5 while I take every check and put
it back into my Direct Mail Marketing business. The plan is
working perfectly, and I know I can leave the temp agency
in 3-4 weeks with what I'm blessed with.

I could quit today, as I have enough saved up for my next
campaign, but I want to put as much as I can...which is
why I took on a regular job to get there a little faster.

I'd love to quit my job soon, but I need more massive action first. I'km heading in the right direction though. I think 1000 HubPages would do it, which isn't a massive amount to write.

I quit my job first. This meant that I had no choice but to make money - I'm aware a lot of people don't have the means to do this but luckily I managed to get it to work (2 weeks before I was going to run out of money!! haha!)

    I work better under pressure!

You can quit it when your online income is 1. stable 2. Exceed your job or way above expenses.

I would suggest you have one website (or whatever and focus on that 100%) outside your job. Also dont quit too early since you are in a rush, 6 months in your job while building your business can help make a stronger base.

      Cheers,
      Mukul
