WarriorsHandbook.com - What should I do with it?

Hi Warriors,
OK, I know "No one" including most of you animals will be harmed in my
development of this site but I wanted your input on it if you wouldn't mind.

I've own the domain name WarriorsHandbook.com and have aged it for
3 years now...lol That's my way of saying that I've done nothing with it.

What would be the best use of it. If you visit the site you will see where I
was going with it prior to getting preoccupied by other more profitable
projects.

Thanks for your replies,
Have a Great Day!
Michael

PS. Just looking for ideas to develop the site.

If I came to a site named WarriorsHandbook.com it had better be a great HOW TO of navigating the forum OR warding off nuclear octopi on 12/21/12...just sayin!

Ok, I see some of you need to be asked questions in order to provide answers.

    1. What subjects/topics should it cover?
    2. Should I invite Respected Warriors to author chapters/sections in it?
    3. WarriorsHandbook.com - What should I do with it?

    Thanks again,
    Have a Great Day/Night!

      Hey Michael,

I think you might be onto something when you mention inviting other Warriors to author sections of the handbook... You could make it an advice handbook from top Warriors about how to navigate the forum. In return for them writing a piece of the book, you can offer them free advertising, list sharing, and even extra high commissions for the people they recommend it to.

Some of the sections of the handbook that I would include would be:
      * History of the Warrior Forum
      * Overview of the different sections of the WF
      * WF etiquette
      * How to Make Money on WF / WSO's
      * Warrior Success Stories
      * Expert Tips & Advice

If you are going to spend the time putting together "The Warriors Handbook", then I would recommend teaming up with Warriors who have large lists in the money making area (just look at popular people who sell lots of WSO's) and have them be the ones who you use for the success stories and expert tips and advice. They will be much more willing to promote the book on their lists if they are featured in it!

As for the actual web page, really brand it with the Warrior Forum colors and make it look good to sell the Handbook. You could do the long sales letter way, but if you are going to sell lots of copies through lists, then that is probably less necessary.

One last piece of advice, don't price the book at $47 or even $27 or anything like that. People come to the Warrior Forum because they are looking for solid advice, usually for free... Keep the book inexpensive and you have the potential to sell a ton of copies!

I hope this helps give you a direction to go with the site, but if you want any clarification on anything, let me know!

      1. Some ideas: Navigating the forum, Understanding the dos and donts, what to expect, lurk or join in, is your input valuable?, a note to spammers and scammers
      2. Yes, if you feel their contribution will be valuable to the overall content. I wonder if you might have to share the wealth with them.
      3. I would spread it around the newbie circuit. Wish I had a copy. I post in here at times and... <CRICKETS> ... never really understand why ...

Is your book a guide to the forum or an overall guide for warriors? Perhaps I am misunderstanding its context.

Either way, I wish you much success...let me know when its out...I'll help people take some off your hands!

Create a product about everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask about the Warrior Forum and break it into several sections:

    General forum edicate.
How to get the most out of the forum.
How to become a trusted member of the forum.
What you need to know before you run a WSO.
What you need to know before you buy a WSO.
What is the War Room and how can it help you?
Sig files and how to use them.
Unspoken forum rules everyone needs to know.
How to have a heated discussion and disagree without flaming.
Why did my post get deleted?
Member moderation and my responsibilty as a member of the forum.

I'm sure there are several others but thats all I could think of off the top of my head.

You could, possibly have reputable warriors write a chapter, on their secret to success and then sell it as product. Your Can do a yearly update, on the same warriors or have new warriors author a chapter.

This gives the warriors (chosen ones) a spotlight and branding for their business and you can sell it and make money.

    Hello Michael,

    Here's my idea...

The book will reflect the Warrior Forum, the people in it, the
information in it, and the spirit of it.

You will benefit as will the forum and those who contribute to your
book. I will explain how this will be accomplished.

    1. The table of contents will reflect the content of the different
    sub-forums. Each chapter corresponding to a sub-forum.

    2. You can decide the length of the book, roughly. Then you
estimate how many pages each chapter will be. I imagine some
chapters will be longer than others.

    3. After that, you invite anyone who wants to contribute a page
or two of solid and reliable content. As you know, people tend to
congregate in the sub-forums of their interest and expertise. So
with that approach you'll be casting a wide net that will include
    everyone, potentially.

    4. Each contributor's name and website, if applicable, will be in the
ebook with the page(s) they contributed. They will benefit from the
    exposure in the book, etc.

    5. You can also include a chapter in which anyone can contribute
a short paragraph explaining how they have benefited from the forum,
or why they like the forum, etc. You can include their name and site.

That chapter will demonstrate and show those who buy it, non-forum
members(?), the value of the forum. All the chapters will do the same
regarding what can be found here. The forum will benefit for obvious
    reasons.

And you will benefit from sales of the book. Forum members would want
to buy it because a lot of good information will be in one place. You
can market it to non-forum members who may become forum members
    after reading it.

You can perhaps do something different by having a special chapter
in the beginning that discusses the history and well-known marketers
who were members. I'm sure if you contacted them they would be
happy to write a short something to be used in the book.

    That's it.

Goes without saying no matter what we sell/market.

But not a problem, Michael. Appropriate legal disclaimers, or just
        blame it all on Mal.

Seriously, disclaimers and make it clear that all sites used need to
        be appropriate, etc, blah...

You're the editor, so you can make the calls on anything questionable.

Another reason to have the book about on-line marketing and not this forum. 'Warriors' in and of itself is not a trademark, though 'warrior forum' may be, look it up or ask Allen.

I'd give it to that nice guy named Kenneth Tang :-D

Erm...well, seeing that in't gonna happen anytime soon...how about turning it into a wiki? Let it loose. With you having full editorial/admin control. All topics must relate to the Warrior Forum, of course. History, money making techniques, strategies, dead fish, old-fogey tales, old snapshots, etc.

No affiliate links allowed. No mlm pyramids. No nothing. Well, maybe a nice giant portrait of me and Angelina Jolie would be nice :-) (The actual specifics I leave up to you)

You do not even need to ask anyone to write a chapter, just ask if you can quote one or more of their posts (with attribution & maybe even a link -affiliate or otherwise- to their site?) and make each chapter a collection of good posts on each subject. Fill with your take and affiliate links to appropriate products and either sell or give away for a list sign-up.
For every member here, there are two reading the forum that are not members. Probably get a reasonably sized list rather quickly.
(The site content can be written from posts here or ask members to guest blog, with permission from the parties that are involved, of course. I do not know what legal rights Allen has, but I am sure you can find that out.)
Each chapter can focus on a different on-line business model instead of limiting it to experiences here.

Be sure to target how important your reputation is in the WF, and IM in general, and how this translates to you making $.

You can become a well-known, respected member in a generally short amount of time by always helping others (especially newbies) with there general questions, participating in brainstorm activities, and designing unique and useful threads.

Outline how your reputation can translate into $ you could be making through a JV, coaching program, services offered in 'warriors for hire', or even a WSO.

Many members, including myself, do their due diligence before spending their money on here. If a member is trustworthy, well-respected, and known for going above and beyond in forum contributions...well, then that purchase, at least to me, is a no-brainer (of course, given that the product or service is the one I am looking for).

    O yes, I almost forgot...

If you do create a book on forum rules, do's and don'ts, etc etc be sure to stress to potential members to:

Use your real name in the forum.

This is another way to build credibility and trust among members of the forum.

Yes...yes...I know my name makes me look like a robot (actually just my initials and D.O.B.).

Unfortunately, I did not realize the value of having your real name until I was about 200 posts in...
