New Affiliate Reviews Site

Hi,

I just bought a .com domain and I'm planning on using it for clickbank product reviews and joint ventures .
My question is .. Should I concentrate on reviewing new & recent products or it would be better if I write reviews on products starting .. let's say 2008 ?
I'll wait for your answers, thank you

It is actually a good question. I'm no expert but I am an ardent affiliate!

My own personal preference is for the new stuff. There are so many CB referenced product launches these days that all sound so good that it is becoming difficult for a pleb like me to know if someone realy knows their stuff or they are superb BS artists.

On the other hand you read the sales page of Adam Horwitz and his Mobile Monopoly and you just KNOW that he knows what he is talking about.

So, from a purely personal viewpoint I must say that I woud find an IMPARTIAL CB (or other) review site very, very useful. Pease keep me updated and best of luck.

I think writing reviews on products starting 2008 is kind of a waste of time .
        Reasons :

        1. There are probably hundreds of reviews out there on hundreds of different websites all on the same product .
        2. They are 1-2 years old so old reviewers of this product became authorities.
        3. Getting top positions in these cases is a lot of hard work.
        4. You might get 0 people to buy it if the product is oversold.
        5. If points 3 & 4 prove to be real you lost lots of time & energy with no return and that leads to disappointment which is no good

So these are my thoughts.. If someone has more experience and a different point of view, please share

there are benefits going either way. I think as long as you are buying or getting review copies of the products and giving honest reviews you'll do well.

I wouldn't give up on the old products either. I've had success jumping in on the popular ones just because they're popular for a reason.

What is a "honest review" ? Got any example ?

I don't think Google rates and ranks your website based on honesty

well you didn't ask which would give you the better google ranking, you just asked generally.

I don't promote clickbank based on reviews so I don't have personal examples. However, I have been successfully promoting cb products for years.

Well I'm all into SEO since I don't actually have enough money for paid traffic campaigns which is probably the way you're promoting clickbank products

I do some paid promoting but actually a lot of article marketing. It's time consuming but the traffic is very targeted. If you are going for SEO traffic then you may have trouble with the older products. Your best bet might be to target something that looks "up and coming" and take a chance on that.

If you're going to start a review site, there's plenty of places to find new upcoming products to review online - which I highly recommend looking for new products to promote - especially while they're in the launch phase.

Check out JvNotifyPro.com to find new up and coming affiliate products that you can promote while they're still new. This will give you new products that people are searching for, and if you play your cards write and put together your review (and maybe a bonus *hint hint*) you can get on the top page of the search results when people look for reviews or bonuses for that product.

For example, from the time of this post the "JV Attraction Formula" is going to launch on October 5th... If you write your review and a get a bonus together, then people will find your review in the Search Results when "JV Attraction Formula" comes to launch day...

You've got a great idea and I suggest that you find as many ways to monetize it as possible - the more traffic you get to your blog the more money you can make. Take it easy and one step at a time. Good luck.
