keyword/article/website question

Newbie here. I've been spending days here reading and learning. Thanks everyone for all the great info.

My question is about keywords and articles on a website. Is there any "best practice" for number of keywords and articles on a site? I'm going to have an information site and have links to products. If I have 20 articles on my site, should I have 20 related keywords and target 1 keyword per article? Or is it better to have 10 keywords and 20 articles, so I would have 2 articles that target a keyword?

Or does that stuff not really matter, it's just about good keywords and good content, whether it is 20 articles or 10, or 5 keywords or 20?

I hope that makes sense and isn't to dumb of a question.

Russ

I would suggest starting with one and its related category keywords... Then when that is dominated, going on to another. To find category keywords, search on the Google Wonder Wheel
