What's Your Best Method For Advertising An Ebook Online?

Hello Warriors! I am writing an ebook that I plan to market online. My question is.. Do I promote a mini site on Google via PPC for faster results or set up an SEO website to promote it??

The ebook is an instructional book on setting up a proper online biz.. So I'm worried about being bi*ch slapped by google ...

Thanks in advanced!

Make it a WSO, my friend. Best market you will find. Buyers looking for products all in one place. Beats the heck out of PPC!

    Lovemyth....what a name. Like it.

Thanks for your reply! This ebook however is to target new and upcoming online biz owners. Most people here are already set up with an online biz (I would think).... yeah I like my nickname!

This is a big forum, and trust me - there are plenty of people here who have yet to make a penny working online. This is absolutely your best bet for launching your new ebook if it's about setting up an online biz. If it's any good, you'll get good testimonials and build that all-important social proof. Dig in, put up that WSO, give us all a great offer on your ebook and start making a name for yourself right here. A lot of us will become your regular and loyal buyers - IF your stuff deserves it!

I've read that PPC using Yahoo is a good idea because they are much more lenient. I don't know if that is still true.

Why not do both? You can split test your sales page with PPC while your SEO optimized site is ranking, you could then incorporate the best elements of copy in the SEO optimized site.

Great insight!! Thanks! My question however is: Can we still run PPC campaigns for mini sites about the home biz industry??

I totally agree that you should try selling it in WSO.

Both SEO and PPC are likely to be tough in the make money niche, and your sales page will most probably have a low quality score in Google.

Of course, there are other ways to get traffic to your sales page, such as forum signatures, article submissions, youtube videos, etc.
