Obstacles you've encountered (and how you dealt with them) before you started earning money in IM

Here are two of mine:

- getting help with websites, etc. - In one case, an expert failed to follow through and respond to my questions. In another, efforts to do things myself led to more delays.

- allowing myself to get bogged down and overwhelmed as I worked.

(Haven't earned anything from IM yet, but am more focused.)

I had a number of issues from trying to move too quickly, HTML errors mostly. But I joined Chris Farrell membership when I started in IM and their forum/support ticket response rate is unbelievable, so no errors were so for long.

        Insecurity...

Thinking that I don't have enough skills and knowledge to succeed.

        The result?

Keep on reading the forum and buying WSO stuff. It didn't help at all.

Skipping from one method/business model to the next without giving any of them a proper chance!

I stepped back, looked at what I was good at and got my head down!

I've had the same issue as Caiden above and still do. Always wondering which is the best area to focus on.

I know in the beginning I had this real idea that I had to know EVERYTHING in the beginning, and that actually held me back. I had a lot of resources, but when I stuck to one and followed it step by step, giving myself enough time to absorb the information, I finally started learning what I needed to.

Now my biggest problem is focus - and sometimes it's also learning when to take the much needed time off!

I really wore myself thin trying too hard to learn everything all at once and taking too much in at a time. Now all I can say is that the dust has settled and i'm thankfully starting to see the fruits of my labour. Learning is also work

Looking for the perfect plan, the next secret, the way that would get me everything with no effort, in the shortest time frame.

Small Incremental Effort. That's all you need.
