Question About Site Visitors

Maybe a bit of a newbie question but.. Today I noticed I was getting a lot more site views that normal (usually ~100 per day and I got 60 in about 30 minutes this morning - I also average ~200 page views and I'm at about 800 for today). I was looking through the list of visitors and I noticed 2 or 3 IPs were repeated a lot. Specifically 81.88.117.181. So I pulled up Google and threw the IP into there and this was the first result:

Hits from IP 81.88.117.181 : Short URLs for All of Your Affiliate and Twitter Links!

I understand this has something to do with me posting my links on Twitter, but I can't tell if they're sending me real traffic or if it's just some bot. There's at least 1 other that I'm 100% sure is another site like this doing the same thing and it just started giving me "visits" a little bit ago. If I was getting a ton of traffic then I wouldn't be concerned, but I like to see how my efforts pay off each day and if this isn't actually sending visitors my way then it's really messing with my numbers.

So what do you guys think about this?

Don't go by the pageviews. Go by the unique visitors.
