What is a good site that i could check the worth of my site on?

I've seen sites that tell you what your website or domain name is worth but a lot of them tend to be way off - for instance, one said that the Warrior Forum was only worth $111.00

There is one site that seems to be pretty close on the worth of most of the websites I've checked though - and it says the Warrior Forum is worth $989,805.00. Much, much better!

dnScoop - Domain Name Value, History, Stats Tool and Forums

As mentioned earlier - take everything with a grain of salt. Your site is worth what someone is willing to pay for it regardless of what any online evaluation states.

I checked one of those site appraisal sites. It was just ridiculous. I'd been offered a site for, let's just say well up in the six figures category. I was well familiar with it, and had them put in a Statcounter code of my own for a week. They were getting 10,000 uniques per day and already had a large base of subscribers.

The appraisal site valued them at $130.

So I don't know what criteria they use, but I'd put the accuracy of appraisal sites maybe slightly below Tarot cards.

Chris and others are right - think of a number, double it, take away your paypal balance, multiply by the number of grains of salt in a pinch and then divide by the length of a piece of string!

To me sites are worth what someone is willing to pay - and even that is beyond measurement. Too many factors for any program to work out it a few seconds anyway!

Estibot.com is about the best of the "free" appraisal sites. It does give a lot of other information like page rank and overture.

Sootle $2972.00

dnScoop $112.00

cubestat $483.99

estibot $30.00

How can you even think of using ANY of those? Would Sootle pay me $2972?? I very much doubt it! Would I be happy with $30??
