creating a product out of "plans"

Hi all

You can see that quite a few successful info product in the ClickBank marketplace that are all about "plans", like woodworking plans, chicken coop plans, boat plans etc.

my quiestion is: how can you get these plans to create a product around? do they come from old public domain books etc? are there any other sources? how can I locate/create "plans" that I can use for my own product?

    the quickest and cheapest way is to search on private label rights (plr) sites and see if you can find "plans" all packaged and ready to go.

      I know it's an odd idea - but some of those "plans" are developed by people who then sell their plans. Those who are skilled in woodworking may sell plans for bookcases, dog houses, etc. One woman I talked to had developed a round pen for her own horses - and then sold the plan for the pen as it worked well for her.

      I'd say if you are going to look for PLR to develop a product that sells a plan of "how to build"....do try the plan yourself to make certain it can be done.

    Scores of Warriors have downloaded my free report in the War Room having do with HOTSHEETS, which plans are a part of.

    A HOTSHEET can sell from a buck all the way to several hundred dollars. There is one guy on eBay who sells several thousand dollars a month of his plans on DVD.

    There is a guy who sells plans for small houses tumbleweedhouses.com and see his go for several hundred dollars.

    Some guys have been selling plans for over 60 years and transitioned from magazines to internet, see U-Bild dot com.

    Here is some quick research for you, if you are a War Room member, search for me and get the free download, but if not, then go to eBay and search for "plans" and search completed listings to see what is being sold.

    A couple of hints. Your high school shop teacher. Bet you a buck he has plans or can create them for you.

    It is my opinion, based on over 30 years of selling plans and such, that you create ORIGINAL content, unique, one of a kind or special type plans.

    I have a friend whose wife has been selling Quilting plans for over 20 years and they have retired to the beach where she operates a little quilt shop while doing INTERNATIONAL business and today, her plans can be downloaded.

    YOU are on to something, most people have NO idea how profitable plans and other forms of HOTSHEETS can be.

    ONE good plan could give you years of continuous income.

    Use amazon.com. Competitors sites. Find bulletpoints from your competitors, go to RTIRonline.com and interview an expert.
