I Send Emails Using My Microwave!

That's the thought that comes into my mind when I see messages from people like

"Sent from my iPhone"

"Sent from my iPad"

OMG!! You have an iPhone? You're such a genius

Those quotes you have above are typically automatically generated from the device or an application used to send the message.

"May I have ten thousand marbles, please?"

Martin - you realise that the devices are setup to do that - this isn't something people go adding themselves.

    Same with Blackberry etc...

Unless they know how to go in and change it, which most won't, it's going to be there.

LOL, you have to admit though, it would be hysterical to hack into the program and change it to something like

      "Sent by my dog"
      "Sent using my oven"
      "Sent from my submarine"

      etc...

        Steve,

        I know it's usually automated.

One particularly annoying person has the automated message and their own version as well.

And I know another person who sits in front of their computer and still uses their 'device' because they want you to know they have one.

It's a branding tactic that seems to work extremely well for Blackberry and Apple, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if many of the users themselves think that the little signature at the bottom of their emails makes them look "cool" (what snobs they are!)

Do you also realize, that you actually CAN send an email from a microwave?

Bluetooth pad + stick it on or install it in a microwave. They were doing experiments with things like this in the earlier days of a Java. After all, that's what Java was built for, so the coffee pot (speaking of, check this out - http://mr-content.com/) could talk to the fridge and microwave... We have fridges with panels that connect to local grocery stores for ordering food...

I usually think it's really tacky when someone sends me a reply from their iPhone and it says "Sent from my iPhone" I then noticed that mine was doing this as well and changed the settings... if you have an iPhone and do not want it to say "Sent from my iPhone" here's how:

    Settings >>
    Mail, Contacts, Calendars >>
Scroll down to signature, and delete "sent from my iPhone" and add your name or make it your own!

      No offence taken Alexa

Anyway, as the street temperature here in Turkey hit 50 degrees Celcius today, my next post will be from my freezer!

      (Is that feasible too, Xception-Industries?).
