Wordpress sidebar help

Hi all. I am offering to pay someone to either set up, or explain/teach how to set up sidebars in wordpress. It's driving me nuts.

    Setting up the sidebars is usually done through the widgets control on your WP dashboard. All you really have to do is select the ones you want and turn them on. If you want a place where you can display an ad for an affiliate turn on the 'text block' widget and then place the ad code within the text block.

    1. Remove the affiliate link from your sig... and people may be more willing to help you. Read the Forum Rules!

    2. "Set up" sidebar is a vague question. Sidebars are there in most themes. What exactly do you want to do? Asking precise questions has its benefits.

      When you say "set up sidebars" - do you mean you want to know how to add widgets, or do you mean you want to know how to add sidebars?

      Some themes come with a fixed number of sidebars, some come with a flexible number of sidebars and you choose how many to display.

      Like Istvan said - remove the affiliate link from your sig. If you don't - the mods will!
