$25.00 Challenge for Best Idea. Winner: "Cash37"

I want to hold a contest here and Now!

(Please someone tell me if I am missing a rule here. I think this is okay right?)

I recently bought the domain thetelemarketingforum. com, and the intial purpose was to help train people who bought my reports on telemarketing... that is still the main goal at this moment...there will be an area for that.

But I am getting a HUUGE feeling about this and I need warrior input.

I don't want to charge for memberships yet because I don't really have any ideas about what value it could be for telemarketers other than a place to chat and share ideas...

What I do know is that there are 4 millions telemarketers in America and it is a HUGE market, and I want to get them all to this site when its done... then I will figure out what to do with them.

So I want to hold this contest because I need ideas on how to make money with a telemarketers forum.

It is 6:38 pm Thursday in Rogers Arkansas right now I will announce a winner at 6:38 pm Friday and pay pal that person $25.00

The question is:

"Whats the best, and most creative way to monetize a Telemarketing forum"

Good luck to anyone who wants participate. Cant wait to hear some ideas!

Sell the telemarketers leads, have a section where people can be paid to enter the e.g. $0.50 a lead and sell them for $2 as simple as that.

Just put the leads ina nd then sell them out.

    Regards

Not very creative, but affiliate sales to books on salesmanship would be a no-brainer. You could also offer a coaching program through the site.

The first thing I thought of when you mentioned the forum was that you are going to have a HUGE opportunity to see what all of the telemarketers are bitching about. Then it's just a matter of coming up with a product that solves (or at least eases) that problem.

    Will

Yeah I will have to moderate bitching and telemarketing haters... who try to join for the purpose of bashing... I was thinking of having a "Negativity room" where people could ventilate... I dont know.

      Good ideas there. Thanks.

Personally I would just moderate the first post every new users inputs. Just email them when the post has been approved, they will come back if they want to be a member. If they dont they wont bother, it will mean you get serious members, until you can hire moderators.

Also disabled allowing them to post links in the first 50 posts or so.

You could also make a standards telemarketers script, give it out free, get them hooked on your list and then sell them an upsell script. Or even sell them a telephone

Create a weekly contest to see which telemarketer can get the most leads for an offer. Now how do you get paid from this? Simple. The telemarketer signs up to the affiliate program through your affiliate link. Now you will get paid a percentage commission for every lead that telemarketer sends to the offer. WEEKLY!

The contest is held weekly, so you will be monetizing very quickly.
    Great Idea.

I was also thinking that if one could create a remotely monitored situation... one could operate a room of virtual telemarketers... not set on it though, its alot of work.

It could be the hugest telemarketing room on the planet!

Are you saying to have them join two tear affiliate programs... and instead of feeding them contracts have them cold call for the affiliate programs...?

What if I was the one who joined the affiliate program, say for a travel agency... where the commission is like 1k or something... and have them cold call for stuff like that?

I dunno, still alot of great Ideas to hear yet hopefully.... Im not set on a call center because it would mean alot of work for 30 straight days, and significant investment cap.

    This is just brainstorming.

How about acting as the middleman between all of the offline marketers who would like outsourced cold calls made for them and contracted telemarketers.

You would take a cut of the fees paid to the telemarketer and maybe you could use an escrow service to handle payment (taking a lot of the worry about getting paid/being ripped off away from both parties)

Maybe have all of the contracted telemarketers use Callfire (or similar service) so there is a log of actual calls made.

Kind of like Elance/odesk/Guru but just for telemarketing.

The thing is that I have dealt with really rich business people and also with boiler room telemarketers, and the rich owners of the call centers... and I have always felt passionately that the telemarketers were actually more hardcore than people who make alot more money than they do.

They are some of the most talented people in the world, but are treated like cattle by call centers and paid cheap wages... I have always endeavored to bring them to a higher awareness of their worth, and teach them not to be slaves with their talent...

Providing really great opportuntities for them. That's worth doing.

Still looks like alot of work though... trying to get out of that but it might be necessary.

    Allow users to
    - review their employers and give ratings, whine etc
    - friend employers they would like to work for

    Charge employers
    - monthly fee for moderator account for that particular forum so they can officially respond.
    - fee to post job vacancies

Display Most friended employer etc on main page, contact that employer and sell advertising

Okay Guys, all of these answers were great so this was a tough decision... I wish I could just send everybody the prize... seriously appreciate EVERYONE'S input.

It was tough, but one person covered a WHOLE lot of territory in few words, and gave the all around most comprehensive answer.

So I gotta give it to cash37

Cash37 basically outlined an entire site concept... I can tweak on that outline some... thanks everyone, I will incorporate a little of each of these answers, and may do this again.

Cash37, please pm me your pay pal. Thanks for the great input.
