I did everything myself, but im still trying to find out why the videos show up in posts and not on the mainpage, if someone can help me with that (its wordpress) let me know.

Anyways, i started my review site yesterday and i purchased "Mobile Monopoly" by Adam Horwitz so i could start right away.

I just finished the first part of my review of Adam's product, im still learning and please keep in mind that i'm not english.

I like it, and I agree that you should speak on the video.

I assume your monetizing with affiliate links on the products that get a good review?

    I'd urge some caution.

Review sites have been done to death as places where people promote their affiliate links. It's easy for customers to be suspicious of any products your promoting.

I think your off to a good start, but it might be advisable to wait a few weeks before trying to monetize. Give yourself a chance to build up some solid reviews.

Maybe it is just me but I wouldn't use "No Bulls**t" in the header. Seems amateurish at best, many other phrases and words can be used which aren't curse words to convey the same thing and make you seem more professional.

Definitely need to get an audio track to that video but the theme and premise is pretty good.

Your copy needs some attention, capitalize all I's and just as an example:

"I purchased "Mobile Monopoly" by Adam Horwitz late in the yesterday evening."

      should be:

"I purchased "Mobile Monopoly" by Adam Horwitz yesterday, late in the evening."

Pay attention to your phrasing and put another space in between paragraphs, even break up the paragraphs more or make your font bigger so the copy is easier to read.

Hope this helps and best of luck.

I agree that you need to speak in your video... even if you're not a native English speaker.

Site looks nice. I would work on the text in your post like breaking out paragraphs. It all runs together. Short paragraphs make for easier reading.

I would also brand yourself. Honest reviews from "google Jedi" seems funny to me.

Sorry just gonna throw out some stuff that put me off about your site, some of which were mentioned already...

    1. I don't like the "Bullsh*t" word on the header. I cuss like a sailor, but would click away from your site just seeing that on a site I am wanting to learn from or respect their opinions.
    2. The dollar amounts on the header I thought was just some ugly way to show you make those amounts... until you said it really is your 'proof' you are making those amounts.
    3. In reference to #2 and the comment that this website is how you make your money... HOW?! You have two articles about one product you JUST bought 12 hours ago.
    4. googleJedi?! 'nuff said...padawanLearner.
    5. I loathe the boldedYELLOW highlights.
    6. I subscribed to your newsletter and got an email with this subject line: "Abel, i promise i will keep you updates as you requested!" This goes with all the other typos and grammar use that some others pointed out.
And to now also say... GREAT JOB! You got a site up and running and you are doing something! Seriously...AWESOME!

But for sure you can spend some time making it better and unless I am way off here. I would prefer to know you haven't started REALLY making money yet than to hear you tell me you are, but I read your site and see only a beginner's first attempt.

Worked well for Dan Kennedy. His 'No Bull****' books and products made him several million dollars and was/is a top paid speaker on the seminar circuit. Of course he is/might be talented enough to have gotten away with using something less 'outrageous', but that was not his style.

One thing I have learned is: you cannot please/convert everyone. In my opinion, using the word will attract as many as using it will repel. It may be worth testing though.

Just to add.. you probably shouldn't use a a repeat background as it has been proven to hurt response as opposed to just a single color.

I learned this from the Ryan Deiss' 43 Split Tests where he says that those repeat backgrounds consistently reduce response and they've never seen them increase conversion rates. I personally absolutely agree.

Well thats the plan. It will be hard to get enough attention to it, and since i'm buying most of the courses i would love it if i can breakeven from the part of the affiliate links. But i will also be trying out those programs/products for real so i hope i will strike gold with one or at least make some money "trying" out those marketing products.

I understand. I'm trying to "convince" everyone that i'm not just writing a review based on what the author/creator of the product is telling the world. I Really DO buy them and test them out.

The general plan is to show everything by using videos. Me logging in to the products admin areas, me trying them out, me logging in to the various clickbank, aweber, whatever sites. So everyone can really see i'm doing it and i'm either making money or if the product sucks, to show them that they failed.

Would that be the best plan though? The videopart is, what i think, the strongest asset in making sure people see that i'm not just trying to get them to buy a product. Any tips on what more i can do their to proof/convince?

Thanks a lot! You are right, i'm still learning how to write copy like that. I'm dutch so i have some trouble finding the right phrases.

About phrasing and paragraphs: I'm currently wrestling with my wordpress css.style. Somehow i can format the text in a post itself, but on the index it completely screws it up. It doesnt show any textual formatting or even videos in the post on the indexpage, but when you click the actual post itself the videos show up and the formatting is correct. I'm seeking help, if someone can advise or check some things for me, that would be great,

About the "bull****" in the header. I will remove it and find something better. Any ideas for a good slogan there?

Thanks. Well i picked the name because thats how some people named me. I'm new to the mainstream marketing, but i have been running, lets say "more hardcore" sites for a long time. Would it be better to make it something like "My name | a.ka. Googlejedi" ? Or just my name?

      Thanks for your advise!
I will reply with the numbers in front:

      1. I will try and find a better slogan, if someone can come up with a nice one please let me know!
      2. The dollarstats there are real. They are from one of my accounts. Like i said a bit up, i'm new to mainstream internet marketing but i'm not new to the internet biz. I thought it would be nice to show some real stats there. Think i need to remove them from the header?
      3. See 2. Those stats are really mine, just not from Honest Marketing Reviews. The first plan was to just write reviews and make some affiliate money, but i changed that to REALLY making reviews. I will try and change some things around since its a bit of a mixup now.
      4. Its because im used to ranking a lot of sites for different high end keywords to google's top 5 serps. I know it sounds all a bit "yeah right".
      5. I thought the yellow highlight thingies where the "bomb" in marketing land, i guess it isnt anymore?
      6. Good point changing that in a bit. I have trouble with the writing part. Im sorry for that, but on the other hand: Thanks you are my first and only subscriber

I guess the "good job you got a site up" comment was irony. I won't go showing off how many sites i have "up" because most of them wouldnt fit in a forum such as warriorforum If you want some info or stats of my "other" sites feel free to hit me up on the messengers and i will show you some

I havent really started making money yet. I guess its my own fault that that part is mixedup because my first post on the site actually pretends i did. I'm a beginner in mainstream, a noob as we would call it. But at least my reviews are honest and will be supported with facts and videos to show what worked or what didnt. And yes, im working on all aspects of the site.

I personally don't have problem with profanity, so while it Will turn off some viewers right off the bat, you will keep others interested. Like attracts like. I like when a persons personality shows through the ad copy, instead of some canned, cliche stuff that you either can't get get any feeling from. Of course, that would be an effect of bad ad copy. So, are the "proof" figures on the top some real numbers copied from your account? If you just started this, it seems like way too many figures to be reported as "honest". I don't personally like the colors of the website, but... You have a website and that is EXTREMELY COMMENDABLE! Overall, I say Great Job. It is an attention getter.

      Hello Paul!

Im not using any plugins for embedding youtube videos, i checked around and "they" told me it wasnt necessary. That i could embed them copypasting the embed code.

I really think there is something awefully wrong with my css files.

When i click a post and read it, the makeup/layout/text formatting is there. But when i check the same post on the indexpage its leaving a lot out. It doesnt show paragraphs, it wont even show me 2 linebreaks. And it doesnt show the video at all. Can you help me out with that?

      Thanks a lot!

PS- You need a privacy policy and to be FTC compliant a disclaimer that you receive a commission if they purchase through your link. From what MY lawyers say, the disclosure MUST be on the same page as the affiliate link AND with in 'reasonable proximity'. (none of which make the least bit of sense to me). Lol.

A lot's been said and i'm sure you will have a great site once you take all the valuable advice.

Here what I noticed right off:

Ps. If You Want To Try Out "Mobile Monopoly" Before I Finish This Review:

    PLEASE CLICK HERE

If you are a reviewer why would you suggest I try the site before I finish your review? Furthermore why would you state "Please Click Here" , maybe I'm off on this but I'd say drop the 'Please"

Something such as this may be more appropriate :

    For More information/Click Here
    or
To Review The Product For Yourself/Follow This Link...

    Just my humble opinion.....

From what I have seen, I don't think you will get many visitors to your site. I don't know what keyphrases you are using, but I'm gunna guess that they are quite generic. Trying to rank for product related keyphrases is difficult, but given some time and added age to your site, then maybe you could demand some authority from Google for future reviews, but I fear you have a long way to go for that unless you are using paid traffic.

Having said that, if you can build up a substantial list of product reviews, and get involved woth more forums, leaving your site in your sig, then maybe there is some value in what you are trying to do.

Personally, I would use that site as a 'hobby', and focus on some easy wins with longtail keywords in niches other than IM to generate an income first. Also, as English might not be your 1st language, you should get your copy checked before posting - but from another angle, why not create a version of your site in your native language? If you are looking at IM, maybe others wanting to read their native language are doing the same?? I don't mean to be rude, but I think it is a valid idea for a non-English speaking person

Your header is pretty cool though.

    Good luck.
