Do I have this right?

Ok, I am brand new to this forum and making money on the internet. I have been reading many of the threads on here (very helpful) as well as on other forums.

I would like for someone to tell me if this is right, as far as a general framework for making money:

1. Determine a niche market using Google adwords to determine high-traffic keywords. For instance, "dog training" or "dog obedience training".
2. Find products on Clickbank to promote in this niche market.
3. (optional) Create blog about niche market, with lots of links to squeeze page (created in step 4). Purpose of the blog would be to get higher rank on SERP.
4. Create squeeze page to get opt-in email list, as well as have a link to products from Clickbank.
5. Use PPC or CPC (forget which one) to advertise on other related (more popular) sites. These ads would direct people to the squeeze page.

I do realize this is a VERY rough sketch of one possible way to do things. But, never having done this, I just want to know if I am "in the hunt".

One of my main questions is: how do I know I will actually get paid by the seller of the Clickbank products? For instance, if someone buys their product via my squeeze page, how will I know?

Appreciate any comments/suggestions/ideas from you smart folks out there. Thanks .

Yes, that's one way to do it for sure! Clickbank tracks all your sales and you get paid from the company you are promoting for. You can see your sales in your clickbank account. You might want to look into cloaking your affiliate links too so they look nice instead of looking like and affiliate link!

Your on the right track, and taking the smart approach. I'd recommend spending a little more time reading warrior forum though. Go through each section, and try to soak up the information.

Then look around for one single plan and do it. Clickbank is a good starting point, and it's a well-respected place.

You are on the right track! Just be careful with the PPC advertising if you have never done it before. It is real easy to lose your money with PPC if you've never done this before.

A big part of taking on this new venture is commitment to your plan. I suggest you get yourself a notebook, not on your computer, and write down notes while searching through this forum.

Consolidate your notes into a daily itinerary for you to either follow or seek out additional information on key points. Treat this as a business you are building and take it seriously.

Your OP is a good start and a narrow enough method to slightly shield you from being overwhelmed by the wealth of information you can find on the subject. Just do your best to stick with the plan and you should do just fine.

By the way, writing things out on paper is a good way to retain the information and not just something to do, very effective and helps out tremendously.

        Best of luck!

Much better plan than most start with, but I'd start out with the free methods before using PPC (pay per click) advertising. It isn't that it's difficult to learn, just that you lose money as you learn. Just my suggestion though :-)
