Organizing my Opt-In page...

OK I have...
Aweber &
E-Junkie

I want people to purchase my book but for the sake of conversion I am giving away a Free Report.

My understanding is that when they submit the opt-in I should redirect them straight to the Sales Page for my eBook.

If this is true then they would get sent a Confirmation from Aweber (for signing up) and after that they would be sent another email with a link to E-Junkie for the free download???

Can a wise soul confirm or untangle this for me???

Thanks!

You can set your verification settings to double optin or single optin in Aweber. It's your choice. But double is recommended.

Most people who are committed to clicking the confirmation link are the ones that will really read.

This is your choice. If you are giving away a free report, redirect them to a thank you page instead of redirecting to the sales page.

In the thank you page, tell them to check their email for the download link to the free report.

Make your confirmation link direct to the report.

Once you have them on the list, email them on a consistent basis and get them to buy your product. here's a cool way to make sure that your subscribers buy from you within the 7 days.

    - make sure that your free report is really cool. it should literally make them believe that you are a guru. give away a mind blowing discovery which they haven't taught off. give them a super cool solution.

    - your email 1 (sent after confirmation) on day 1 will give away the free report.

    - your email 2 will have to contain another mind blowing trick. this is on day 2.

    - your email 3 on day 5 will have another cool mind blowing trick.

    - day 7. tell them that you've made an exclusive report which is really cool for them. but they can only get it for free if they order your book in the next 96 hours or the first XYZ copies.

    - day 9 - less than a day to go hard sell email.

usually, this could result in many sales. but incase it hasn't happened as you expected, give away free content for another 3-10 emails. And then run a simple 4 day cash machine by Frank Kern.

Most of them will have brought by then.

In every email wherever you give away free content, make sure that you include a link to the product page. do it the normal resource box style to get a high ctr by invoking curiousity.

Tylerdrun (Tyler Durden?) "The first rule of Opt-In...";-)

Thanks for the thorough response to my question.
I guess the reason for the question is I am seeing different things in this area, imagine that, and I am trying to make sense of it.

The reason I am under the impression of Opt-In>>Sales Page is from what I have picked up from The eBook Coach Ellen Violette. I think she is doing this model here:
    ebooktheftprotection.com

You can see the "instant access to exact steps" in the opt-in box...

She also had a video to an Armand Morin that my wife watched who said that this was the new way.

I'm new to this and don't know the old way (maybe it's the Thank You page). I did notice that thelaunchcoach.com had a Thank You page and his site seems pretty "new" but...Just trying to figure it out.

Thanks for the response, very appreciated!

I just used the e-junkie settings on one of my promotions to integrate Aweber. E-junkie has some pretty good instructions on how to set it up.

    Doubt everything you believe.
