I just launched my first product (check it out, feedback welcome!)

Hi all,

I thought I posted this yesterday but something must have gone wrong when I hit "submit".

After a year of working on this product, I finally finished everything required for the launch and it is up on ClickBank. I have not added it to the "marketplace" yet because I need to get a bit of my own experience selling it under my belt so that I can properly recruit affiliates. I'll not be cheap and I'll go straight to a 75% commission since I think that seems to be the best way to attract affiliates (I'm always turned off by low commission rates, and I'm sure most affiliates are as well).

My product is the furthest thing from IM there is. It is about teaching parents how to use NLP and Ericksonian language patterns to deal with toddlers during the Terrible Twos and beyond.

Anyway, the key lesson here for all first-timer product creators is to KEEP AT IT, and persist through the learning curve. Just do it.

I welcome feedback from everyone. The links should show up in my signature file.

If there are any first-timer product creators that want me to provide a run down of what tools I used, I'll be happy to do so.

    Chris,
Congratulations on your first product! I just launched mine not to long ago and I can relate to the high you must be feeling.

As for my critique, The one main thing I saw is your order buttons need a little work. IMHO you need more of a call to action there. I also didn't see anything about a guarantee or refund policy. Adding that in shows that you stand behind your product so completely you guarantee it or they get their money back.

    Good Luck with everything!

Congratulations-- and thanks for the encouragement! I'm still working on my first product. I like the sales page design, except for one thing. I absolutely hate it when people don't give the price on the first page and I have to actually click an order button in order to see it. I don't know, maybe it 'converts' better -- maybe people already feel a certain 'commitment' if they've clicked the order button-- but it really annoys the hell out of me.

    Anyway, congrats again!

    Congratulations Chris!

I love the color scheme and design - it makes me think of small children. I would have to agree about the order buttons though - you need more of a call to action.

I would also like to see the price of the product without having to click through to another page. Very nice, though.

Thanks for everyone's feedback so far. I will definitely be listening and learning. Seems pretty common that you guys & gals prefer the price to show up on the first page. Good feedback. FYI, the button on the first page is not a buy button, it is not an order form link. It links to page 2, which is pricing information and order info. That 2nd page is where the pricing is revealed along with the 60 day guarantee. My initial reason in doing this was to be able to split-test various pricing levels, but I am totally open to moving to a single-page layout once I settle on price. You folks agree with that logic or disagree?
