Facebook Marketing?

You can actually do facebook marketing by targeting people interested in your niche and not just your friends...create fan pages or use facebook ads. Have a "like" button on your blog for your facebook fan page...that usually gets some good new people following you!

That being said, I'm not big into Facebook for business despite that I'm on it 24/7 for personal use, so maybe others have ideas on how to monetize it!!

Here are the methods that we are using in generating traffic and marketing thru facebook:

1. Add people/send friend request using the "Are You Interested" application
2. Creating of the website's own Group and then invite your contacts to (join) the group

It depends on how you build your connections. I have been using Facebook Marketing for years now and the conversion of the traffic depends on the interests of my connections.

Lets put it this way, even though you get 5000 fans on your fanpage; if they don't like your products, services or your site you'll not get anything from them except for the traffic.

You need to target your real audience to be able for you to make money on Facebook. Example: What if I'm selling Hello Kitty stuff toys and most of my fans don't like it? Will they be buying it? But if they shared it and found by a Hello Kitty fan then you have a 50/50 chance on getting sales.

PS: These are just results of my test on my opinions for several months of testing on how I make money on Facebook. But I still get most sales on my site alone through organic traffic and not on Facebook.

Facebook marketing does work. Honestly it is the easiest way to make money online with very little investment.

1. Setup a fan page that alot of bored teenagers/adults will join
2. Buy 5000 fans on eBay for $40
3. Your page will go viral hopefully
4. Add CPA offers using AdscendMedia or CPAL3AD.
5. Profit, Profit, Profit.

Rys is right. Thats a prety solid method. The key is learning how to get your Facebook fan pages to go viral each time. I have friends that have made a killing repeating the process with pages that hit 1 million plus. You can get a report here which should show you about the process for taking a fan page viral without exploiting the relationships you have with your friends Network Quake Blueprint.

Facebook rocks and is certainly worth any time you invest learning about how to use it.

It is getting harder as Facebook gets smarter so alot of facebook marketers are turning to Facebook tools such as facewizard to try trick the system with hundreds of accounts to help things go viral.

The real key is defining what's going to be a viral topic then just getting it out there. If you can get one page of yours to go viral the whole process becomes so much easier.

Instead of selling to your friends start a separate account to target a specific niche how this for an idea start a poker blog and start playing both facebook poker and real poker (don't lose your shirt) Start making friends with all the poker players and then take them to your blog where you can encourage them to try some real money poker there's some real hefty commission to earn't this way.

This is so true. There are lots of Facebook users who loves playing poker. And if you can encourage them to play poker on your site for real money, then you can already pay your monthly bills while you are making friends on Facebook.

Back in the day I was paying maybe $600 dollars in rake to just one poker room someone could have had 40% of that! that $240 a month from 1 customer

I disagree with that line.

Facebook Marketing will only be effective because of the strategy that a Social Media Marketer is doing. Even though there are more than 500 million members in Facebook, if you don't know how to catch the fish, you can never say that Facebook Marketing is effective.

One of the good ideas that I see right now to do the catching is sambakker and Tomwood's strategy.

I have. The thing about facebook is, you need a good idea and lots of friends. Most people use mafia wars/farmville groups to gain friends and later use them to promote their groups. The best way to go viral is to have a good unique group or lots of friends available to invite.

1. Join a group related to your niche, start contrubuting and leave your site link at the end of your post. Your post or contrubution must be helpful.
Join groups that has lots of members.

2. Create your own niche related groups...it is allowed. then invite others to join. This is be best option, though it be take you some effort to build, but at the end you will really benefit from it by advertising to them anytime you want.

Finally, remember to add your propective costumer as friend from facebook.

The things to remember with Facebook marketing is:

1) Don't target your friends. You can set up a second account pretty easily and use that account for business. It is worth knowing that Facebook do not like you to use your profiles to target people and use for business.

2) Invite people wisely. Facebook are always monitoring the number of friends you invite to the number of acceptances you get. If you get too many people rejecting your friend request, then you are likely to be seen as "engaging in annoying behaviour." Facebook want you to have a page, so that you have to promote it, especially using their PPC service.

3) Use groups to build relationships with a common topic and only present an offer once the relationship has been built. You guys that followed the recent AffiliateDotCom launch should be well in the know about the process here.
