What's this keyword worth?

Hey guys,

I found found a keyword with 27,000 monthly searches on it. It's a 6 word keyword, and, it's currently not in ANY URL name. It's for a service that's pretty profitable. The average sale is $65-$85, and, at that level, I'd say that $40-$60 is profit (and, most of these sales take 15-30 minutes.) I see any business in this genre getting 10-30 sales a day, depending on the amount of reps that they have.

I hope to capitalize on this Keyword. I am going to make a site to direct people to it, and then, rent or sell the site.

Based on those numbers, what's this potential site worth?

When you actually begin to rank for the keyword and measure your own results with it, then we will be able to appraise your website for you.

Until then, I have a dozen empty domains in very competitive niches that are only worth the $15 I spent to register the domain names...

Why don't you let me know what it is and I'll tell ya?

In all seriousness though, if you are going to make it to sell someone and you're going to develop a site and stuff first, the sales price will probably be determined by how much you actually do with it before you sell it.

Its all based on the work you put in to make that site rank well and get traffic. It also depends on the designs and stuff. Its like real estate however you have to make it worth buying.

You can sell an empty domain, but you'll make much less than if your build something that get decent traffic.

I believe that those domains that actually convert adsense will ever see the big bucks...

If you have a cheap one page site with adsense I doubt you will ever see any of this $85 click, you will likely end up with pennies.

It is those sites that perform well that get the cash.

If you were paying $50+ per click wouldn't you rather get people coming from law.com rather than texas-law-dui-driving-accidentinstantsuperclaims.info?

No one can predict the value of this site. According to your experience in the past and the data at hand, perhaps you guess this keyword will bring big fortunes to you, but when you put it into practice, the result may let you feel disappointed.

Until you actually build the site, get traffic and make some sales, it would be worth nothing to me.

Be careful with the traffic predictions. Sometimes for such a long tail keyword 99% of traffic goes to number one spot in Google. So, if you are not able to rank 1st, it is worthless.

I have a site with 33 000 searches per month (around 1088 per day), and I am 3rd in Google, but I do not see any traffic at all. However, I know that the first site gets most of that traffic, but it will take me time to beat him.
