Wordpress Woes - Anyone Had This Experience Before?

I spent days to build a WP blog, my best yet, loaded with some neat plugins and couldn't wait to press the publish button, however nothing happened when I did press Publish. After a few tries, there was a message that it was pending approval. I have a few blogs and have never encountered this before. It has been five days and the approval hasn't happened yet. Can anyone help or diagnose the problem, please.

    Pending approval on your own blog?

    Maybe some plugin is conflicting. Can you post a screenshot of the pending thingy?

    Is the publish date today? Or is it scheduled to some other day?

    What does the post status on "Post > Edit" options tell? Is it "Published"? If not, change it to the same.

      Hi Karan, If I click on edit, I have two options - Cancel or publish however publish is not active (disabled) therefore nothing happens when clicked.

        OK. Try this: Go to Post > Posts.

        Then, click on Quick Edit for the post you need to.

        There, you will see Status. What does it say there? Try changing it to Published from there.

          You are a life saver. I am so giddy right now because your instructions worked and I am now published.
          This is a wonderful place to come hung out. All kinds of very nice and very helpful people to reach out to. Occasionally one encounters a few rudeness (to be expected I guess) but on the whole this a great place to be a part of.

    Before everything else: remove the affiliate links from your signature ASAP! Read the forum Rules - you have time, since your blog doesn't work anyway

    Is this your blog?
    Are you logged in as admin or as a lower level user? - related to this: who else has access to your blog?

    I said affiliate links are not allowed. You did read the forum rules when you signed up, didn't you?

    Well, if it says that the post is "pending" then you are not admin...
    If you still think you are, here is what you can try:
    - go and create another admin user (if you can) and log in with that account
    Otherwise try to:
    - deactivate all the plugins
    - revert back to the default theme
    - see if it works
    - if it does, activate the plugins one by one, checking after each whether it works or not

    Is there any possibility that your blog has been hacked and your capabilities as user have been reduced?

      Thank you again, Istvan. The solution, supplied by Karan worked and I am now published. I was going to try your way next if his didn't work but I am glad that his was a lot simpler. Thanks for taking the time.
