How I Accidentally got myself 3 backup payment processors
I tend to trust PayPal and do feel that I'm always going to be OK with them. However, I do constantly have it in the back of my mind that I should have some backups. I have always had backup payment plans, in other words, I know what I will do if I need to do it but I don't actually have those payment processors in place. Or do I.
In another thread I tell of how I've been experimenting with Mechanical Turk.
Well, without even thinking "how," I was making my small payments to the workers I was making payments using my PayPal Debit Card. That's all I was "aware" of.
A few minutes ago I decided to shop for a mini net book. I went to Amazon.com and was greeted "Hi George." Now, I've never signed up with Amazon. Oh yes I did, I joined MTurk and by making payments to my workers I automatically, almost without noticing became an Amazon Payments User. One back up to PayPal.
A few months back I decide I wanted to go to the App store on my droid (A google phone) I pay the 99 cents with my PayPal Debit card, through of course Google Payments. Of course, Google payments does not take PayPal, however it does take the PayPal debit card. Now I'm signed up with Google payments and can switch CCs anytime. Two backup payment processors.
I've almost never used it, but, I've been a ClickBank member for over a decade. My third backup to PayPal. Oh wait, CB takes PayPal payments now. Ain't life great.
Of course one might ask, "How can you pay for things that only take paypal, such as WSOs?" You can use PayPal with any Credit Card, you don't need a PayPal account.
