Affiliate Link Redirection
Hi,
I need help with redirecting links to my cpa offers and getting the cookie to stick.
I'm apt at seo, for example I have a WP blog ranked well for a very competitive and popular cpa offer with about 400 uniques per day.
I have my links redirecting to a folder containing an index.php
My server shows this as a 301 to the folder and 302 for the index.php
Problem is, it works for a while then the money drops to almost nothing. Then I'll try another redirection method and the same pattern occurs. I'm not a server tech but it seems that the cookie is getting picked off somewhere. I have had this problem on an off for sometime now.
Also, ideally I use a no follow tag on my redirects and have tried it with and without. Does the no follow tag on a link have any effect as to how the cookie gets dropped?
By the way, I saw a post that said, "you might need to add a line to the .htaccess file to get it to pick up on index.php"
