Is it worth getting two domains for my site?

I am a lawyer that is setting up a site to get targeted traffic in johannesburg south africa. I have bought the domain name johannesburgattorney.co.za, this gets around 1600 local searches a month and seems to only have medium competition, another domain name that I was considering is johannesburglawyer.co.za that gets around 880 local searches a month.

Is it possible / advisable to link both domain names to the website and then try ranking for both of them?

Further any advice or sources that you can point me towards would be very helpfull regarding ranking from local searches.

Further there are other variations of the domains that seem to have allot of searches like attorneys johannesburg gets around 1900 local searches would it then be a good idea to buy attorneysjohannesburg.com?

    If it increases your traffic by 50%, I would buy the second domain and just redirect it to the site that you already have. Unfortunately, I don't know much about local ranking, sorry :-/

    Yes it is worth buying more domains. Buy domains with the keyword that you want to rank for. Either redirect it or build blogs that point to your main site.

    Yes you can buy multiple domains and can 301 redirect them to gain the link juice.
