Hello Warriors,

I was wondering if anyone is having success using Amazon and PPC (Google, Yahoo or Bing)?

Is there anything I should know?

Any tips??

I plan on creating a landing page / blog and driving traffic via PPC.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

J.J.

I did it and it worked really well until I got slapped for being a bridge page they say. I then redesigned one of my sites and sent it in for review and they still said that it violates their bridging policy.

I lost a 2K per month income instantly and it sucks big time. Now I am going the SEO route which luckily I started from the beginning so my sites are ranking already.

I don't want to discourage u from ding PPC but theres a god chance you will get slapped in my opinion. There is always yahoo and bing PPC which has less traffic but works well. Adwords is the best though.

      Hey Jan,

When you say bridge page. Are you referring to duplicate content???

For example, you used product descriptions from the Amazon website

Go to Adwords and read their TOS but briefly what bridge site means is that the site is there purely to promote a click through to a different site which in this case is Amazon. My sites are 100% original content. First I did a straight review site then I tried a real niche site with lots of how to articles mixed with product reviews. I also didnt have any aff lnks in my posts. I just had an amazon widget on the sidebar and It still wasnt acceptable so I quit messing with it.

You never know until you try. Start out with a small budget and increase it if it's working well for you.

At the same time work on getting free traffic, like Jan mentioned.

This is the best investment I have seen in ages - For just $1.00 you can get 4 coaching sessions - And the coaching is from internet marketing legend Chris Record.

Long time ago I tried the whole PPC route and ended up in the red!

Absolutely try it out but start small! Also, be sure to set rigid daily caps on your campaigns because they can cap out very fast!

Definitely look into the whole free traffic route....Once I did, I never looked back!

One thing about using PPC to promote Amazon products that I would like to point out to you - You can no longer use the direct linking strategy to promote Amazon products (that is, when people click on your ads, they land directly on Amazon's site). Amazon will not pay out to associates for sales generated using the direct linking strategy...

Hence, the only way for you to promote Amazon products using PPC is to create a landing page - And when people click on your ads, it goes to your landing page first... They will only reach Amazon's site when they click on links within your landing page...

      Cheers
