Out of Your Comfort Zone?

Hi Warriors,

Someone said to me recently that if you're pushing your comfort zone with something then that's a good thing because it means 95% of people WON'T do it and therefore you'll make more money.

I completely agree with this. I recently made some videos for my blog and BOY was I nervous. Before I recorded my first video I was VERY scared because I didn't think it would be good enough, that people would hate my voice, that it wouldn't be professional... etc, etc. But since putting it 'out there' my fears completely went away and I actually discovered that people LOVED what I'd done.

And it's the same with anything in internet marketing. It all seems hard and confusing, but if you're in the 5% of people that DO do things then I think you'll see some pretty positive results. I'm kind of an 'experienced newbie' (it's a long story) but I am learning all the time and willing to 'throw myself in' so to speak.

All I am saying is don't ever think to yourself that your creation (whether it's an ebook, article, video, or whatever) isn't good enough because the chances are it IS, and if you're nervous then it means you care (which should mean you've put a lot of effort in to creating whatever it is.)

So what have you done recently/are doing that is pushing you out of your 'comfort zone'? I would be very interested to know the things people find fearful.

Dan

I agree. Too many IMers tend to stick to what they know rather than push boundaries and frankly, it is their loss....and my gain.

The difference between feeling nervous and excited is purely our perception. I'm in total agreement that successful people, in all walks of life, are constantly expanding their comfort zone. It took me a while to adjust, but I've now trained myself to feel excited when at the edge of my comfort zone - I've simply relabelled nervousness.

Everything new that I've tried over the past few months has been stretching my comfort zone and therefore exciting. Making videos, creating sales pages, figuring out shopping carts and download services to name but a few.

I hope the elastic is still good on my Comfort Zone cos it's going keep being stretched.

    Peter

PS I think this should have been posted in the Mind Warriors. Don't be too surprised if it gets moved.

    Hi Dan!

Pushing your CZ is a good thing....

I try to pull the trigger everyday with
    something new...even if it's small...

Over time, it all adds up to success!

    Thx,
