Buying Profitable Websites

I have started buying already profitable websites to save the time developing them from scratch. I've been doing this for several months now and am running into one problem. I cant find enough sites to buy!

I usually check Flippa.com, here, websitebroker.com and a few other places.

I am just looking for suggestions. I had someone suggest actually contacting site owners directly and potentially making an offer that way. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I prefer sites with a product but anything profitable with good traffic works.

Any thoughts?

I know in Flippa rules, you are not allowed to have any private sales among the members. I guess that's not ethical although I'm not sure how they control any abuse of this kind as you could PM any member to do this (short of Flippa reading through the PMs).

Doing that will get you banned at Flippa real fast. Guess you didn't notice the report button on the pm system for fraud like this?

It's not allowed to sell a site on other marketplaces when you already have it listed on Flippa.com.
