Hi all,

I'm a new member but have been following wf for sometime. There's a lot of valuable expert advise here so I decided to join you guys.

I'm just getting my feet wet in IM and wrote a PLR about Borneo (a pack of 3) - I wonder if there's is any market for this type of topic? Anyone could throw some ideas how to market these?

Thanks a lot guys.

There is always a market for well-written PLR. As for marketing it, if you have no other options, perhaps try a WSO.

Another thing is setting up a squeeze page to give people your little freebie related to that PLR content (maybe a 7-day ecourse to start building your list first) before they opt-in and buy your product. Make sure you use compelling, relevant and keyword targeted content to get that page noticed.

The best is doing it over Wordpress which is the easiest way to go too:

Google doesn't display any adsense ads when I search for Borneo. That's not all bad, but it either shows it's an untapped niche or it's not a money maker and others have figured that out.

Try following some of the results for that search and see if you can find out where else those sites are advertising. If you're going to sell PLR, you have to try to show there's some demand for it.

As Will said, a WSO could go well if:

    1) you can show there's some demand for info on Borneo
    2) you can drive traffic to it
    3) it's written decently

As @tyroneshum said, if you can start building a list using a squeeze page, it will give you two benefits... the first is of course the list you'll have, the second is that it will show demand for the info, allowing you to sell the PLR easier.

    All success,

    Gary

    Hey askond,

Tyrone's totally right about the list building.

However, I can't help feeling that the process you're going through for your product is in the wrong order. Personally, I think you need to find a market and find out what they want and what they buy, before creating the product and trying to market it.

Trying to market something that you think people want is a lot harder than marketing something you know people want. I would look into the holiday/travel markets and associated niches and find out what other people are already successfully selling there, then do that but better.

Hope that helps. I only say this as when I first started, I created the product first and struggled to sell it. Doing it the other way around is much more effective.

Travel can be a 'hot niche' ... might sound daft, obvious or even cliched ... but if you sold your PLR in the WSO section (as Will said) you'd quickly find out if anyone had travel based sites and get feedback on your product (including some testimonials).

If you want to get a feel for product demand and get some good feedback then a WSO is a good way to go.

For long term income, you would want to have a website and, of course, build a list of buyers interested in your PLR offerings.

You could actually start the list with the WSO - ask people to opt in if they want to know when you release new PLR packs.
