I was checking my stats on cb and i have 3 views for order form submit count, but no sales. Does this mean people tried to buy the item, but their card was rejected?

  • Are you sure you're not referring to the Order Form Impression Count? I have a lot of those, but that is when someone gets to your purchase page but does not buy for whatever reason.

The Order Form Submit Count stat is for people that actually purchase the product. There should be an amount listed for the sale. Is this for an affiliate product that offers a free trial? If so that might account for a zero in your sale. If that's the case you should see a stat called Sale-RB (for rebill) under the Transactions page.

  • I checked the transactions page no rebills. I wonder if there is a delay for some countries or credit cards.

    • zachary0611,

I have the same thing happen to me.

At the moment my Stats say:
      order form submit 2
      net sale count 1.

I thought it was a card not working or something similar.
It has been like that for nearly 24 hours.

      cheers

  • I know this thread is a bit old but I just noticed that same problem as well. Did anyone find out what was going on or did the sales show up later on etc?

I have 3 for one product, so either someone used a dodgy card and tried 3 times to buy, or 3 people purchased and the sales didn't register...

    • I have had this happen several times for the past couple of years. When I talked to click bank about it I was told that it could have been the owner of the product testing affiliate links to make sure they where working properly or the person did infact try to buy the product but something went amist in their attempt. Meaning the credit card could have been declined or they did not enter the proper information or they went to paypal to compleete the order and simply changed their mind at the very last second.

However I am seeing a few post about clickbank stealing profits for its users. So this also could have just been one of those cases of clickbank robbing its affiliates of sales. I hear though that they only do this on affiliates who have generated over 30 sales atleast thats what the last post here on warrior forum said. If you have made 30 or so sales simply create another clickbank account and switch out your hop links and see if it helps any.
  • Thanks Pete, I'll keep a close eye on that promotion now and see if anything changes.
  • yes, this happens to me frequently. Actually I don't know the reason for that. One day I had about 5 order form impressions but no sales.
  • Hi guys,
I see that the thread is a bit old but I was looking for the same info - for one particular offer I have 9 order form submission counts and NO sales at all.

I am wondering what that could be...

Don't take too much notice of the stuff "higher up the thread": there's quite a lot of misinformation up there, as tends to happen in threads on these subjects.

The "order form submit count" is simply the number of times that potential customers have attempted to submit an order. Any disparity between that and the number of sales is down to declined credit-cards, mistaken entries, people previously banned from Clickbank, and so on.

Normally at least 65% - 75% of "order form submissions" should result in sales, on average.

If you have 9 consecutive order form submissions without a sale, then you need to be asking Clickbank what's going on. There may be an explanation, and they may be willing to comment on it sensibly, but there's no certainty.

There was a period of a few weeks at the end of last year when many, many Warriors who were used to about 70% of their order form submissions resulting in sales very suddenly, all at exactly the same time, found they were getting 25 - 30 consecutive order form submissions without a single sale being processed. Quite impossible, statistically. Clickbank, of course, denied that there was "any problem at their end" and were telling people that it was "because of the holidays", and "seasonal fluctuations" and "just unlucky" and "of no significance" and so on. Sadly all very typical of their attitude and behaviour when things go wrong. In the space of about two weeks, there were about 12 threads started off here to discuss this specific problem.

      These things sometimes happen.

If it looks like a serious problem, a good way forward, which has helped many people in the past, is to switch to a different affiliate account and change all your links. An enormous nuisance to have to do, of course, but in spite of any immediately apparent logical reason for it, there are many people who've done it and found that it immediately fixed the problem.

Part of the tribulations of dealing with Clickbank, I'm afraid.
