    The 4 Hour Workweek

Also...I learned alot, that I apply today, from "The New Community Rules: Marketing on the Social Web" and the "Social Media Bible"

      10 Great Books to Read:

You've got to read the "Classics of Marketing", such as...
      Scientific Advertising by Claude Hopkins
Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples
How to Write a Good Advertisement by Victor Schwab
The Robert Collier Letter Book by Robert Collier
      Breakthrough Advertising by Eugene Schwartz
For success and self-help, again classics such as...
      Psycho-Cbyernetics by Maxwell Maltz
Law of Success by Napoleon Hill
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
The Five Major Pieces of the Life Puzzle by Jim Rohn
Here's a bonus tip: Read the classics over and over again
instead of continually buying more and more books that seem
to just re-hash the content from the timeless classics.

      Dedicated to your success,

      Shaun

I worked with Dan and had him as my mentor for a year and i'm pretty sure he wouldn't like what you said about him!

Now if you changed that to "THE most arrogant men on the planet, but he knows his stuff" he would love it.

My favorite book of all time is a classic, 'The Science of Getting Rich'

I've been researching on Dan Pena and one interesting fact is he's the only success coach that actually made money through business transactions.

The other business authors made their fortunes through selling books and seminars.

I'm just getting on to Linchpin now and it is great. I highly recommend you read everything you can by Seth Godin- including his blog posts.

Some of his posts may seem a little out there but allow them to challenge your thinking and differentiate you from your competition.

    Self Help / Business
Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

I found this one in my school's library last month, and remembered that it's one of the best self-(biz)-help books out there.

I issued it, and read in just 3 days.

Awesome, if I have to explain in a single word.

The War of Art - by Steven Pressfield

Great book for anyone doing anything creative on winning the Inner Battle and beating the forces of resistance that we all carry with us.

If audio is your thang, there is also an audio book by Nightingale Conant - but it weighs in at $25 or so.

Also TALENT IS OVERRATED by Geoff Colvin. A good summary of the research into talent, mastery and achievement. Read this before you read Outliers by Gladwell.

If you search on Amazon you'll find a book called SUN TZU AND THE ART OF BUSINESS. Not read it, but heard good things about it. That might be a helpful illustration of some of Sun Tzu's principles in a business setting.

Three other classics i totally forgot!

These books have helped me a lot and really opened up my eyes. Two of them have probably even changed my life and the funny thing is that all three of these books are really really simple to read and understand:

Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson

              The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The Richest Man In Babylon by Geaorge Samuel Clason

I know this probably belongs in the Mindwarrior forum, but I'll mention it here anyway... The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior.

There are a couple books in the series, but this is actually one of the few books that was able to hold my attention... and I finished it in 8 hours shift many years ago at work.

There is also a movie if your interested as well.

I can't believe there's no mention of Dan Kennedy's books.

    The Ultimate Sales Letter
    The Ultimate Marketing Plan

Both are about as good as it gets for Marketing knowledge in general. I also like most of the small books he's put out lately, the BS series.

If you can find it, the Jay Abraham Mr X book or Stealth Marketing are both marketing classics that stand the test of time.

    Ummmm...

Getting Things Done By David Allen is a classic in the making.

I would also say 4-hour Workweek.

Especially because it's a great approach of the mindset behind internet business.

He says that there hasn't need to be a relationship between the hours you work and the results it gives. You just take action, sit back and watch how the process continues.

    Nice pilosophy!
