Hi,

I'm just curious about peoples thoughts on this.

While doing some research on my competitors for some keywords, I had noticed one of my competitors was about.com

On their site I noticed the "ads by Google" sign in Google's ads is not displayed. Now about.com is part of the "New York Times Company".

The New York Times Company, a leading media company with 2007 revenues of
$3.2 billion, includes The New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, The Boston Globe, 16 other daily newspapers, WQXR-FM and more than 50 Web sites, including NYTimes.com, Boston.com and About.com. The Company's core purpose is to enhance society by creating, collecting and distributing high-quality news, information and entertainment.

I guess they are big enough to sway Google!?

Once you reach 20 million page views a month, you too can become a Google Premium partner and do want you want.
