I need more info on website flipping

Hi guys,

I have seen some great potential in website flipping recently. I myself create websites for my clients and for my personal use. Therefore, I think it would be great if I was to do some website flipping myself.

I'm just unsure what type of websites get sold and which ones are the most popular type of websites. Do you guys know of any thread or WSO where I can find out more?

Thanks.

Getting a good price on a site usually depends on the traffic and niche you have coming into the domain.

You could build the prettiest, coolest looking site ever and not get nearly as much money from it as you would if it already had a steady flow of targeted traffic.

Here's the WF All In One thread of Flipping websites

As for finding what sells and what's popular, just go to Flippa and keep tabs on the Just Sold tab.

Cheers guys. I forgot about the Search tool on this forum, so I used it and ended up on that AIO thread.

I just wanted to add, startup sites aren't selling as well as they used to. There are so many WSOs etc out there about startup sites, that you'll need to try and do something that sets your own sites apart. Earnings and traffic are always a bonus, but I agree with Suzanne that taking a look on Flippa and making notes as to what's selling (not just the niche but also prices, starting bids, times of day they list, sales copy etc) will really help.
